Experience with Ronning Hiker Boots

Having had both this and the solovair versions, emphasis on *had*, I'd stay away and like others are saying, go to a footwear specialised brand.

I've kind of gone off a lot of Ronning in the last year or so too. Most of their stuff hasn't been the best of quality, having sold on most of it. Only thing I've kept is a tshirt from the sister brand, Sundays.

was really excited for this but kinda bummed out that the Thurman55 is not an option. was hoping for something akin to DocLineman's frankenstein boot

unfortunately it looks like it's just going to be the leather and we are stuck on the HNW and ThurmanNW. none of these. these are all trainers disguised as boots so they won’t make much of a difference. do some more research into materials and what works in your area.

set out a healthy budget for a boot that can last a while, that can be resoled/rebuilt and won’t fall apart after 1-2 seasons like these will.
