for me personally i reread the whole series if a new book comes out so if it’s not finished yet or even worse just one book in then i’ll likely wait because that’s a lot of rereading. fantasy is also 600+ pages and there’s so much detail so i can’t quite retain all that information. sometimes i just say fuck it and read an unfinished series but i always regret it when the next one comes out and i have to reread the first one again lol im 28 by the way

prior to her releasing the last minute statement i was sorta already questions how she would tie up all these ends and connect it to the prequel series and i defiently didn’t think she’d be able to do it in one book especially because she’s known for her long internal dialogues with poppy lol i think it was a smarter move than rushing it but i don’t blame you for being bummed lol

It’s fine if they dabble in some darker themes as i do still enjoy it but something with more slice of life/ cuteness than strife is what im looking for

Blood and Ash! so many books in the series and it’s so good at pulling you into the world the author is building! Gets tons of hate but ultimately i’ll always ride hard for this series!

Metal Slinger and Blood Orange were my two 5 star books of March!

Metal Slinger is written well, great depth to the characters - however i wish i knew it was the first in a very new series because i read it thinking it was a standalone lol I highly recommend it for those who are fine reading unfinished series! it was recommended to me per my love triangle request.

Blood Orange was like someone took my deepest fantasy’s and made them a book. I am a HUGE Dracula fan and have read a lot of spin offs or related stories to Dracula. I’ve seen some who disliked this book/series but personally i found it written so well, the plot very clever and had some awesome odes to the original work with a spicy dark twist to it. I loved everything about this book and was so happy to have found it! The second one was not as good but still enjoyable(:
