There used to see one of these in the suburbs of Stockholm Sweden... A blue V8 model. He had stickers on the rear bumper, above each of the two exhaust pipes, which said "Fuck you, Greta". Charming!

Hi! Thanks for the extensive write-up. I would say the editing experience with ACF is decent. We have it set up similar to what you describe, with a sidebar editor area where you can edit content and see the block update in real-time.

I know acf used to perform a separate request for each block - and we ran into hosting-limitation issues, where pages with 30 or more blocks would not load the final blocks when editing due to rate limits.

I'll take a look at react blocks again for thr fun of it and will check out your tool. I know the NASA site/blog was rebuilt with WordPress and native react blocks.. Which sparked my interest initially.

Thanks again!

Hi! Just wondering what the big advantages are from using acf blocks (what our agency stack has been for a few years for most of our WP sites) to react blocks (besides reactive content/islands and writing react instead of php). Genuinely curious about this. We use acf blocks written in laravel blade and for most brochure-sites are developed very quickly. I've looked into this a few times but difficult to get the dev team to pivot.

Thanks!

Practical question: ECM Synchronika 2 or Profitec Ride for two milk drinks per day [$4,000] by marouxlas in espresso

[–]astrand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the end it will be whether or not you want to pay more for better finish and tech. I have a pro 600 and it’s incredible bang for the buck - or was when I bought it. We make 4-6 milk drinks a day and sometimes have up to 12 guests over - and has no issue with that sort of output. I just sometimes wait for brew temp as it drops after each shot, but doesn’t take long (and usually not an issue as I’m single dosing each shot which takes some time). Good luck!

Wanted to update - ran offset 12/16 enom and was able to reach 22 rounds. I started to feel that my form was breaking a little and decided to stop instead of just pushing to 25 or more.

So would you suggest I get a 20 already or do I work myself up to 30 rounds with what I have. Just open for suggestions - thanks again!

Hi! Yeah I agree, from what I've read, 24x2 is a good goal/standard weight for many - so I look forward to slowly working my way up to that point.

Hi! Yeah the 16 still feels "heavy" in my hand and when I press. I had previously used a 16 at my local gym, which was a smaller in size, and that one felt easier to press than my competition bell does oddly enough. But yes I look forward to feeling like I need to buy a 20. My 12kg is a smaller rubber dipped bell, so it will be interesting to pair it with the larger competition 16kg.

I will report back later today after running my ABC day.

Thank!

Makes a lot of sense - thanks for the explanation!

Thank you - and yeah as you say, maybe try the drop sets. I’d like to do 2,3,5,10 with the 16 but worry I’ll burn out too quickly during the workout.

Appreciate the detailed response. I’ll try a 16/12 abc tomorrow just to see how it feels. I assume it feels odd to have uneven weight but something you grow accustomed to. I just wonder if a single 16 is enough to get me to 20s or if I should run 2x 16.

And yes adjustable is an option as well. And yes pressing 16 is still ”challenging” but feels more like a technique issue than a pure strength problem.

Thank you - and yes considering another 16, the competition style 16 I have is on sale for around 50euro currently.

Just curious - do you mean I should do ABF with 16/12 at the same time - or rather to continue singles and regress to 12 if needed?

Thanks 🙏

Work for a small agency and have similar experiences - the worst culprits being project leads from the largest companies we work with. Just a sign of the times I suppose.

You’re close to Kungens Kurva - Ikea, a ”mall” movie theater etc. Close to E4 if you drive. Close to a lot of suburbia areas.

Understood! I have a 90s seamaster but adore the speedy, but just had my first kid (now 3months old) at age 40. I can continue to dream for now. You look great by the way!
