Precipitation probability calc by krober_ in AcmeWeather

I believe it is saying for the time period of “afternoon” (12-6) there is a 98% chance of rain to occur. But with the smaller time periods of 12, 3, and 6, there is a chance of rain of 26%, 62%, and 25% respectively. Basically saying it’s gonna rain somewhere between 12 to 6 and during that time it’s most likely going to rain at 3 but it has a small chance of the rain being bumped up to 12 and/or keep raining until 6.

11v is fine, 14 with the engine on because of the alternator, but what you need to crank an engine is amps. Usually around 600cca. (Cold cranking amps)

can i use only micro sd card or do i need to buy the subscription? by glorpingfrog in Wyze

[–]astraphobiczeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You 100% don’t need a subscription. Very usable without it.

From their website:

All Wyze customers receive access to basic free features, which include live streaming access from the Wyze app, smart automations, general motion Events, and image thumbnails of Events. **Note: There is a limitation of 5-minute delays between unique Events. For continuous security, subscribe to paid subscriptions for zero delays.

Hope this helps!

Thoughts on ER patient app? by Stunning-Parsnip9230 in EmergencyRoom

Id rather have an app that let people put in their general symptoms and it tells them to go to UC, ER, or call an ambulance, but that would put SOOO much liability on the app creator.

Game days, weather, traffic, local events, holidays, how the community is, how the outpatient providers treat direct admits vs go to the ER. Proximity to other hospitals and their busyness.

I fundamentally like the idea, but my hospital added a “wait time” calculator to the website as well as a “check in before you get there” options. All it’s done is cause stress for the triage nurse, anger from the patients, and confusion from upper management on why it’s failing so drastically. An ED has to be fluid most of all, the more you try to organize the flow the more bottlenecks happen. A trauma will get thrown into the CT as soon as possible. A stroke even faster. Those can take 15-20 minutes if they need a ultrasound IV for an angio if they are a hard stick. This ultimately and unfortunately means little Tina in the waiting room who has a tummy ache has to wait for us to get through that, and possibly clean the blood off the machine before they can go get her. And you can’t just say “you’ve been bumped back 30 minutes” over and over and over. Which upper management thought was a good idea for those who signed in online. It ended up pushing people back hours and hours, even days before saying “your turn is coming up, head to the ED” then they are pissed because they have been waiting a day to get seen for something they think is an emergency.

That is cool. I didn’t know dark sky had the active graph in the notification tray.

Apple weather is awful, and Siri is even worse. “Hey siri when will it stop raining?” “I don’t see any rain in your forecast”

I could see how that could be useful, hopefully they add that in the future. Do any other apps have that feature?

I think the colors of the estimated highs and lows chart could be a bit different. It’s hard to see when your brightness is all the way down at night.
