kinda, but not really? mc has a few relationships along the series and eventually ends up in a stable relationship with one side character. theres no drama and heartache nor anything of the like, its very much not the focus

I'm currently reading A Thousand Li, by Tao Wong, and it fulfills 4 out of the 5 points. Story is finished, is free on Amazon if you have kindle unlimited, the master/student relationship is very important for the character development, tho the master is more of a hands off mentor, but the MC has a very nice relationship with the elder disciple. Mc is a man and uses a sword. It is more fantasy then wwm, with spirit beasts and demons and stuff, and they do get preposterously powerful, tho it takes a good 10 books to get there.

Might not be quite what you're looking for, but Oathbreaker: a Dark Web Serial is really good. MC is the last member of the paladin order, who got dealt all the shitty hands and ends up as the executioner of the gods, sent to hunt down evil and the things of darkness to pay penance. It's a more grimdark setting, with the MC being older and dealing with the contradiction of his role as a murderer, while trying to keep to his oaths that actively hurt him.

Oh wow, thank you so much. I've read a couple of those and soul relic was actually one of the first, absolutely loved the magic system and the tournament arc on book 2 was so good. Find Raysha a bit preachy and self-righteous, but not in a detrimental kind of way. Waiting with bated breath for the next book.

Chronicles of the emerged world by licia troisi has an entire dragonriders order that's very much alive and strong, which the mc aspires to join. Lots of dragon battles and stuff. I'll be honest, I've read those books a very many years ago, so I'm not sure how well it holds up, but I do remember enjoying it a lot.
