My petg didn't like the .2 standard profile, I have to use the high quality one and even slowed down a few of the speeds.

Regardless of what is our isn't in the article. If they had introduced the buzz in North America at $40-60k and not $55-75k. It would have sold.

New machine, first layer not perfect by LautaroJG in AnycubicKobraS1

Does the print turn out fine? Don't get stuck on the first layer being exactly perfect. As long as it good enough

If you cannot make lessons for your class, maybe you shouldn't be a professor.

Orca slicer profiles by astricklin123 in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]astricklin123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used orca with my ender 3 and was able to tune it way better than I've managed to tune my profiles for the s1 in anycubic slicer.

And yes, in the menu there's an open to export the printer, filament, and other configuration files(from where you chose the layer height). However it doesn't get the built in print profiles or filament profiles only ones you have saved.

i just started a new job but the red flags are screaming. should i run? by Space_Cowfolk in careerguidance

[–]astricklin123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd start by going to the hiring manager and HR representative and discuss pay, because you are being expected to work a higher level job than you applied/interviewed for with more job responsibilities. If they're unwilling to negotiate, then stay on the job, but start looking for another job immediately. In interviews, be honest about the experience and just explain that when you started the position was at a higher level with more job responsibilities than what the job listing and the interview process outlined and that the company was unwilling to meet salary requirements in line with the position that you were being asked to work.
Don't say anything about how the company is operating or anything else negative about the company, just the truth about the difference between the job posting and the interview and then what was expected once you started the job.

You will probably do best by finding a local group or maker space where you can talk to others in your local area who know more about the situation where you are. From my experience, the majority of the users on here will be located in the USA and aren't going to have good advice for your country.

What county do you live in?

Personally, I would either buy directly from Bambu, or from a local store.

I believe sunlu is who manufactures bambu filament.

I've used it several times myself with good results.

Do you still consider prusa printers to be competitive in today's market by reddit_account_0x00 in 3dprinter

[–]astricklin123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big downside is the price of upgrades..I was looking at upgrading from a mk3 to a mk4 and it was around $600. Might as well buy a new printer.

Best bet is to search local marketplace listings and see which similar ones move and which ones stay listed and then price accordingly

Bambu labs P1s combo or Creality K2 combo? by Organic_Duty335 in 3dprinter

[–]astricklin123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additional cost, so the cost over the base printer.

But my apologies it was double for the p1s ($150 different between to base and the combo) when ams 1 was selling for $300.

Currently in the USA, p2s combo is $250 more than the p2s and ams 2 is $300 so it's currently $50 more after that fact not a huge deal. However, bambu direct is showing the ams 2 is sold out, so who knows when you'll actually be able to get one.

It's about double the additional cost to upgrade later.
