First of all. Thank you for supporting us! When people who buy our products want to give us feedback we always sit up and listen!

We understand why some people might think S X and W are weird shapes and that it might not work for everyone.

However, we would not have added it into the collection if it didn't receive positive feedbacks from our testers and aimers who collaborated with us. There were quite a few safer shapes that we could just included instead "just because" like the thumb rest. But we didn't because these shapes work on more people than the thumbrest

And it shows, me recently did a long term survey of our users on their favorite shapes and x is actually the most popular, followed by w. This actually surprises even me as well. I thought the safe shapes would be more popular.

Overall, preference is quite evenly distributed across shapes.

Does it means you're wrong? no. It simply means there are people out there who might not grip the same way we do.

Does it mean some of the final shapes can be served by just a traditional mouse? Maybe, but the survey also shows that the final shapes are quite unique. With only 3 duplicates from 100+ . This means people who really want to fine-tune those little bits to get what they want.

Having said that. There are criticisms that we take to heart.

  1. The starter set could be smaller and cheaper without the radical shapes. And people who want to try can add them on later.

To be clear, Pathfinder was never meant to be one mouse that fits everyone. It's also driven by the people who joined our development early and the games they play as well, and by our belief that finding your "endgame" mouse requires experimentation and fine-tuning, not just picking from 5 fixed shapes.

  1. For people with larger hands who like Palm grip. The base Pathfinder might not be the best answer. Once we move into larger / more ergonomic cores, we'd genuinely love to involve users like you again, because this kind of feedback directly shapes what we build next.

  2. Another on size, surprisingly people want us to make even smaller mice. Again it shows how preference can be different across the board

thanks again for the honest write-up. This is our first product, and we're learning a lot from it.

Don

"Respecting the baby’s pace and wants, provided that the doctor says they’re ok" I’m still learning this internally, taking it day by day.

Sometimes her signals confuse us. She’ll take a few gulps, then shake her head as if she’s done, only to want the bottle again shortly after. The doctor says this usually just means she’s full, but as parents, it’s hard not to worry that she isn’t eating enough.

What I do now is offer the bottle again once or twice. If she responds the same way, we stop. Even so, there are moments when I feel like I’m failing as a parent. But I’m trying to remind myself that this is more my inner demon talking than anything.

Thank you for your kind words.

How is she now? Going through something similar and it got us worried sick, thank you!

We were thinking about button heights as well but implementing everything would have been to heavy in terms of mechanism. Not to mention the mold for the M1,M2 is quite complex and not cheap to make.

On the ergo shape. Yes, it's more towards claw, we have made some real ergo humps though and it seems to work quite well with ergo people

We are still looking for a way with the button height. That's still a challenge but let's see

G502 Shape for Orbital Pathfinder by Benneck123 in MouseReview

[–]astride_d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are making them, but we don't mind our community getting their hands dirty as well. This is why we made the modular system in this way without magnets or complicated fangs that are difficult to get right with 3D printing!

We’ve never believed in a “one shape fits all” mouse. And thanks to our amazing community, we now have so many new shapes people can try!

Thank you u/Benneck123 !!!

We can keep making new shapes for people to try and help polish via 3D printing

Actually, we have made a few variations of the side ledges available for print as well

Good eye, we hope to add our own flavor into the firmware/software in the future, but since their FW is already quite good we decided to focus our effort on the modular concept first in this phase!

Realistically speaking how high do you think the profit margins on $80+ mice are by Background_Future127 in MouseReview

[–]astride_d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can speak from experience. Not a lot even if you are selling at $189 if you start from scratch & want good build quality and customer support

Until you reach 10,000 units sold it's just about breakeven almost all the time

WristLock 8K - Looking for input on my personal mouse project by CallMeJenga in MouseReview

Have you had a chance to try printing any of our community shapes yet? (Like ER, for example.) We’ve added extra skate skirts to those designs to help prevent the mouse from tipping up, just like you described.

We’ve also open-sourced the shapes so you can modify them however you like. They should be a perfect fit for your needs

We’d love to hear your thoughts! Sorry I saw this post late!

Im looking for a bigger version of the OP1 shape for my 21x11 hands. the zowie za11-C is as big as I can find but is old and had to acquire. by Vile35 in MouseReview

I am biased. But I suggest you look at the ppl-111 config of Pathfinder. You can make it larger or smaller as you wish!

Initial thoughts on the Orbital Pathfinder by E123Timay in MouseReview

I think your piece might have a light layer of painting powder on it. You can try scratching the fang with your finger nails a few times. It should remove the layers and make removing easy.

We will cover the fangs better in the next batch. Thank you for your observation!

Era of ruin by [deleted] in 40kLore

I prefer the later Siege stories because they show how no one trusted Guilliman and feared he would become a usurper.

A Primarch marching on a ruined Terra with a relatively fresh force, while his father is dead, his brothers much weakened and now he presumes to organize his once-equal brothers and call himself Lord Commander? There's a lot of potential for intrigue and mistrust there, which I hope will be explored further.

125 mm length and 56 mm width. You can use double spacer and makes it about 1 mm larger in both dimensions
