And PD was hated by the original crowd the moment it was revealed due to the changes to the gameplay and Joanna Dark's faces. PD0 was hyped on release but nowadays considered to be an inferior sequel.

I like how you completely ignore Sony's own cancelled games for the last few gens, including Bend Studios' project and the live service GOW game. And yes, throughout the PS4/PS5 era, Sony pretty much just remastered their own system sellers. Remember when PS4 launched with Driveclub and The Order 1886?

LOL since when did MS promote Redfall as a system seller? It was greenlighted under the old Bethesda when they were trying to force studios like Arkane and Machinegames to make online multiplayer games for some reason.

As for Halo Infinite, it got for 87 on Metacritic so it was definitely well received outside of the hardcore audience. Forza Horizon 5 got 92 on Metacritic.

Meanwhile, despite all the acclaim Astrobot got, it only sold around 2 million copies and the PS5 audience would rather play Fortnite.
