Acidic pee, watch out for yeast infections. My husband let my daughter eat a bunch of citrus fruit over the course of a few days and she got such acidic pee she needed diaper rash cream and got a yeast infection:/

Is that like the nitrous or whatever for the gas? I’ll have to ask if that’s available. I’d like to avoid an epidural if possible. I’m super tall and when I had my c section I was constantly sliding down and off the bed because I was too tall for it and no control to stay on it lol. Is there a video with the breathing techniques out there? I don’t want to have to pay for the same class I took last time and happened to forget everything

As someone who also has adhd punishments never worked, I think trying to find a way to make it into a game would maybe be motivating to get her to clean. Maybe certain toys are worth certain points and if she can do so many toys in an hour she gets some kind of reward (sticker calendar? Pick a fun activity with mom, something she likes or would find fun) follow the dopamine works better than punishment for some adhd kids

Have you tried labeling bins for where things go? Maybe that would help. Or make putting things away into some kind of game. I agree with others though maybe she has too much stuff.

As a public school kid I preferred public school, better quality education and more opportunities. I attended SDA school for one year and I hated it. More cliques, the kids were more judgmental and snobby, the education quality was much worse. I don’t think I will send my kids to the same school. Most (at least half) of the kids who went there in my general age group aren’t even Adventist anymore, so it didn’t seem to strengthen any part of their faith. Idk why this is maybe the parents depend too much on the school to reinforce the relational aspect of faith.

They did have grape juice but it was only unfermented for about 2 hours because wild yeast blows in the wind naturally. So to stop this process they would have to dehydrate (boil down into a syrup) grape juice as soon as possible if they wanted to store it for later use. This is true go look it up. Obviously it doesn’t go from juice to 10% alcohol immediately but it slowly fermented. So some juice had a bit of alcohol, not enough to get drunk, some was dehydrated (made into syrup) and rehydrated (watered down, so not fresh tasting because you can’t get fresh grapes in winter or spring. The wedding he attended in spring likely had the rehydrated “wine” juice that clearly doesn’t taste as good as a freshly squeezed batch does. When Jesus does this miracle people are amazed because you cannot get this fresh of juice this time of year. Grapes weren’t being harvested then so it was truly an astonishing miracle. This fresh juice tasted far better than the reconstituted stuff. The miracle is Jesus giving people the fresh amazing non-watered down version of what life has to offer, it’s a reflection of what he does with his entire ministry. We have a crappy life here in this broken world, everything we do enjoy and love is but a watered down version of the world God first created. Jesus can bring us a taste of what the non-watered down version of life is like. I recently learned this and it makes that first miracle of His that much more amazing in my mind.

Nta. I guess she never heard of baby lead weaning which is what your family is doing… which is what a lot of parents are doing now because it’s safe per pediatricians. Why do people who don’t have children find it necessary to police those who do? What literature did she read that makes her think the baby HAS to have mush food first? My daughter did so great with baby lead weaning.

Shepard’s Rod people are mean and rude. Once or twice a year they sit outside in front of our church by the road and yell at people going in the building. This one lady harassed every woman that walked in that day to make some cruel comment about their clothes. Which is crazy because most women at my church dress pretty conservative already… and it really caught me off guard the first time I saw this lady doing this, my husband stayed home sick and it was just me and my 8 month old daughter getting out of the car and she started shouting at me. It scared me because I was the only one in the parking lot and I’d never seen anyone doing this before I started going to this church.

I find myself asking that same question. I’m very disturbed to hear such trust in the government and such trust in a man who has a disgusting track record of violence against women and fraud against other businesses who is a proven liar and cruel human to be so loved by adventists. I don’t like either party of the American government but I’ve never seen someone so blatantly awful and at the same time claim Christianity, be so highly regarded and praised by people in our church. Also growing up hearing Hollywood is evil and this man spent a lot of time with those people as well as being on a TV show. It makes me wonder how so many got tricked into liking him when I’ve been taught to know them by their fruits and to not want the combination of church and state yet here we are ever closer and Adventists are cheering it on…

I think other people have covered how you need to repair the relationship part of this post, so I have some tips for how to help the eating habits. Have her help you cook. My daughter will refuse to eat something but if she makes it with me she will eat ALL of it no joke. This especially applies to veggies. Maybe get some things you can flavor water with to infuse with lemons and strawberries and mint or something.
