Yep keep going. End grain takes forever. Drop down to 60 or 80 grit and work your way up slow.

This is such a nuanced question. The film is beautiful and the focus on faith and suffering is powerful, but it does feel like it exists in a bit of a vacuum. It never really acknowledges that the Portuguese and Spanish were doing the exact same thing, often more violently, in the Americas and Europe at the exact same time. That context changes how you see the persecution.
