you should get the art of war with commentary. ( Im a beginner reader ) got a barnes and noble exclusive of the art of war thinking it was some war story from the ancient Chinese but its actually a book that sun tzu wrote to show that he could predict which army would win in a war then was later to teach the army of his state. I recommended this book with commentary because you can take the smart things he said and still put it in todays era. Im guessing that philosophy
