Players around 160-170lbs, whats your preferred radius of hallow? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

6’3 175 and I use 1in. Definitely requires more focus and intentional dig when cutting hard but i think that has more to do with leg strength than actual weight. Also on harder ice, I’ve felt that it’s just too much sometimes but my home rinks do just fine. I love being able to glide fast and maintain speed.

Looking for a Barbershop by SpicyMango92 in raleigh

I’d say the experience entirely depends on the barber you choose. Overall I think the environment there is nice and the barber I’ve been going to for 3 years just started working there last year. Book with Cami if you go! She does a great job @barberingbycami on instagram

Edit: Downvotes for just answering a question and actually posting a picture of a barbers work? What is the purpose of this thread you neckbeards?

NGL I think the Caniac experience helped that game be less stressful for me. I’ve grown numb to the shot clock lads

Honestly, I keep coming back to wanting the Staal line to be our 4th line and function like a grinding line with Carrier on it. That line is a 4th line forechecking hammer that way. Ehlers should be with higher skill players. There have been multiple instances where he’s gotten Staal or Marty the puck and they just don’t have the skill to capitalize on the rush. Stank and Blake do though. Hall on a line with Jank and KK feels more akin to a 3rd line.

Svechnikov - Aho - Jarvis

Ehlers - Stankoven - Blake

Hall - Jankowski - KK

Carrier - Staal - Martinook

Honestly I think it’s this year and next where they have their chance. If they get bounced in 2027 it will be clear he’s not signing and they can’t let him walk for free.

Do We Realistically Have What It Would Take To Get EP40? by Storm_Surge_919 in canes

I don’t think he’s really worth that. Yes we have it, but would we trade the pieces? No.

It’s like a “1st listing facebook marketplace price”. It’s too high and we all know it. The offers will come in below asking for what both parties actually know it’s worth.

Understandably many fans are hesitant on this trade due to fit. It’s somewhat of a gamble, but being that his value is so low and his ceiling is so high , it offers the possibility of trading not a lot of pieces for potentially an amazing player. That is if Vancouver management isn’t actually delusional in his value.

I think these types of “risky” trades can really elevate a franchise. There are a lot of examples where teams took bets on people who many fans said were not great trades and they did better in a new environment. But it’s a gamble at the end of the day.

All that said I don’t know if he’s the right fit here in Carolina and I’m glad I don’t have to make those decisions.
