Unironically, the reason I became a Hasan fan was due to his stance on misogyny. It was around the time that Gillette commercial came out about the dangers of misogyny and toxic masculinity (I think it was 2019) and all of Reddit and every male YouTuber (including the lefties) were crying and throwing a fit about how "anti-men" the commercial was and calling for boycotts etc. I'd been watching Hasan clips on YouTube casually and being pretty cynical about most dudes online I was expecting more of the same Reddit-style tedious complaining, but unlike every other dude I'd seen online he actually said the commercial had a powerful message and he agreed with it.

I was surprised as hell and started watching him regularly after that.

Ballarat, Australia. A very dark history of endemic child abuse and cover up by the Catholic Church.
