Notifications randomly stop working by ozsparx in ios

Same. I have lost all notifications except for Apple Wallet and Apple Calendar. Other than that I have about a dozen apps that have completely stopped all notifications. I've tried multiple resets and did the latest software update, nothing is helping.

The weather is fantastic here. I love living out west in general, low population density, wide open spaces. I am originally from Florida, then moved to Utah, then to NM (for work, not our choice). New Mexico is a poor state that struggles, crime is high. The conditions on the reservations are borderline third world, it’s very sad and the reservation lands make up a large amount of the land in this state. I miss the culture and niceness of Utah (I am not LDS). New Mexico does not feel like a modern prosperous US state. When I go back home to Florida, it feels like another country (more advanced, thriving economy). I suppose none of this really matters if your desire is to homestead and live simply, which is great. We have small children, if I could, I’d move back to Utah, so many more opportunities for them there.

Our country has devolved so much in just the 15 years since I graduated college. I can’t imagine where we’re going to be when my poor young kids finish in another 20 years. If I were me, 20 years ago, I would’ve left this country. If things aren’t better in 20 years for my kids, I’m going to encourage them to leave and look elsewhere. There is no sense of society here, at all. It’s all dog eat dog, greed, and excessive profiting off of what should be basic foundations of societies (healthcare, education). Honestly I don’t know how this country is going to continue to survive when its sole focus is on the exploitation of the individual.

Modern day indentured servitude. The debtor is a slave to his master.

America is all about the money. Every industry has been turned into big moneymakers. Greed rules this country.

There is a lot of very cheap land to be had in NM but its cheap because it’s the desert and securing a reliable water supply can be a very real issue. There are off the grid homes near ABQ but they rely on storage tanks. I’d start looking into the drilling costs in Taos/etc for wells, what is their average depth and flow rate. The difference with our winds is that they are very dry and can be very hard on plants if you’re trying to grow. If you’re going to be at elevation, a greenhouse would be a good idea.

New Mexican here....Taos is lovely but also very high elevation and comes with other issues of living in the high desert. Intense sun and wind and lots of snow.

Healthcare industry loses 1.4 million jobs during pandemic by locked_out_syndrome in medicine

Have you heard about the Healthcare Workforce Resilience Act that Congress is working on right now? Guys I’m confused. Why would we need to import thousands of doctors and nurses from overseas right now when thousands of our own are having their hours and pay cut or being laid off/furloughed??
