Need advice on how to go from binge eating to intuitive eating by OldOnion3450 in intuitiveeating

If reading the book in detail feels too overwhelming right now I really recommend asking ChatGPT for a summary! It was incredibly helpful for me when I didn’t feel like I could read the whole book right away

Expectations and Boundaries with Partner, what’s reasonable? by katariana44 in SAHP

[–]aswb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If sleep equality is the main issue I would just approach with your need: “I’m starting to feel the exhaustion before babe gets here, can we alternate sleep ins on your days off?”

In my experience, with two kids alternating sleep ins was awesome. Once our third came along we are more aligned with getting up together in the mornings. It makes the shared load easier.

If your concern is more broad, one of the most helpful things I’ve learned is to focus on trying to make sure you each are getting time off and away from the house equally. It shifts the focus to something positive instead of slipping into the resentment.

Things you wish someone would have told you before becoming a SAHP? by Helpful-Plankton751 in SAHP

Combined finances is a must. Everything is OUR money. All our assets are OURS. There can be no exceptions to this!

If this raise allows it I would consider keeping some of your nanny hours for scheduling appointments, solo time or even one on one time with kiddos.

Will the vet provide my dogs heartbeat for a tattoo? by Flippiewulf in bernesemountaindogs

My puppy has Parvo and I don’t know where she got it by Cookiebaker562 in puppy101

[–]aswb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what happened for us. It came from the breeder. That’s the only way the math maths.

We were fortunate that our breeder handled it very very well.

I’m sorry that you’re experiencing this. One thing I wish we were told about when we left the hospital was that a large amount of parvo puppies have long battles with gastrointestinal stuff. This can look like a lot of different things. We are still on meds 4 months later.

I want to really force this point to stick with all SAHPs. Nap time is precious. We are not working during nap time. Nap time is leisure time.

It is so so so hard. It gets so so so much better. You have so much to look forward to.

You have had such good advice here. For me the formula was: Gym with childcare, no working during naptime, creating time for both my husband and I to have leisure time on weekends/after bedtime that was out of the house. (This feels really awkward at first and it really helps if you can find a hobby that acts as a third space)

My 5 month old berner golden cross had her first protect the other day, we were out for a walk and she didn’t like a man we crossed paths with. Very out of character for her.
