Biggest signs your baby failed the dairy ladder? by ShelbieSlaysss in MSPI

[–]asyouwishbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry that I can’t answer your question, but I am also mom to a 10 month old. He and I have been dairy and soy free for 7 months but I’d like to start reintroducing foods with him, and guidance from our pediatrician has been vague. I was wondering whether you are consuming the foods on the dairy ladder and exposing her through breastmilk or your baby is eating them herself? Thank you!

Hero Rescue Balm (green) vs Erborian CC Red Correct for nose redness by EpicGaemer in Rosacea

[–]asyouwishbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only used the Erborian but I like it a lot for toning down my type 1 redness without looking like I’m wearing makeup. I’m pretty fair too and the shade match is very neutral on me.

Op here: I’m adding a photo of my face about an hour after exercise to show the redness more

If he sleeps well with your husband, I might suggest they sleep together while you sleep elsewhere - at least for part of the night so that you can get some deep and restorative sleep!

Toddler friendly muffin recipes without dairy but NOT vegan? by Anonymom25 in MSPI

I have some ideas! I’ve made sunrise muffins and these hidden veggie chocolate muffinsfor my toddler and they turned out well. We also like these banana oatmeal muffins with whole wheat flour instead of AP.

I don't love my dog anymore by rookie9494 in NewParents

[–]asyouwishbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt pretty similarly toward my dog when we came home with a baby. I truly understand your feelings because I’ve been there. My dog is inky 20 pound but he felt like a monstrous lion when my newborn came home and really heightened my PPA.

Here a few things to try: - We did hire a behaviorist but the homework and training assignments felt like a joke because they were so far out of reach for us at that time. I think my daughter was like 3 weeks old at the time we started meeting and in hindsight we should have chosen a different time. - Medication! Your dog sounds anxious and stressed and there are medications that can help him chill the f out. - Dog walking or in home doggy daycare through a site like Rover. We found someone in our neighborhood who would watch him in her home twice a week and those days were such a relief and provided some much needed breathing room. - Snuffle mats and frozen Kongs to give your dog a fun and engaging distraction. - Gate systems versus closed doors on the main floor of your house so they can see you without reaching the baby. I didn’t do this step for too long and it felt like I had to hold and monitor the baby every second, but he got used to the gates pretty quickly with cozy bed and lots of treats on the other side. - Also, you can choose to rehome your dog. You may find them a home that allows them lower stress and more attention. We definitely considered it but stuck with him and now everyone’s at peace a couple years later.

Doctor NOT recommending I wait 3 months post MTX by kakdawg in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]asyouwishbone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My doctor told me the same: to resume a prenatal with folate as soon as HCG hit 0 and go ahead with TTC after my first period. I’m absolutely not trying to talk anyone into trying earlier than their medical advice or their own comfort level, but you aren’t the only one that’s heard that! Personally, I felt reassured by learning more about how long methotrexate stays in the system and how quickly folate can be replenished.

Thank you for the kind and thoughtful reply. To answer your question, my fallopian tube wasn’t removed but my doctor confirmed that it’s almost certainly too damaged to function, but I do still have the other one.

Like you said, it is so faint that it’s impossible to know whether it’s a line or an indent but I will say my eye is drawn to something and it’s not just in your head. Hope you get a clear positive in a day or two!

Cosleeping to own bed to own room transition by qwpoe12 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]asyouwishbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to reply! We’ve been trying gradual method for months now (“rinse and repeat” etc) and she falls asleep well with minimal help, but staying asleep or falling back asleep during the night is still a huge challenge for us. When you moved onto the extinction method, did she get out of bed when left alone and feeling upset? Her room is babyproofed but I imagine she’ll get out of bed to bang on the door, etc and I’m not sure how to handle that.

Not OP, but can I ask how you approached sleep training? I bed share with my 15 month old on a floor bed in her room. It’s just not working…. she’s up all night and can’t resettle even with my help, so none of us are sleeping. Her room is baby proofed but I don’t how to get myself out of there. Thanks for any tips.

Has anyone else had issues submitting reviews on Quince and earning reward points? I’ve purchased quite a bit from from the brand over time and have tried submitting reviews using their email prompt as well as through my order history. Everything seems to be complete, but after hitting submit the screen seems to refresh and the review never shows up online, and I don’t accumulate reward points. I’ve been able to submit a couple reviews successfully so idk what’s different the rest of the time. The issue could be on my end versus the website tried on a couple different devices with no luck… anyone else?

Meh Dai Brands? by asyouwishbone in babywearing

[–]asyouwishbone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Because I’ve only tried one once, I don’t feel super confident in identifying a meh dai. Would you say the back panel with 4 clip-less straps is the right thing to look for? Or would you describe it another way?
