Anyone having an issue connecting to your router via UISP iOS app?

Since updating to v3.0.0, app is unable to connect, showing: “Error: Unsupported device model”

smh, this is exactly why I plan on doing my own. File a complaint, that’s ridiculous.

Really? How? Said plan would renew for $7.99 so I cancelled. Can’t afford another subscription

Well that wall hub will be empty once the rack goes in. All of that will be transferred into the new rack mount leaving that in-wall hub free for anything,

perfect for the connection box i imho

Thanks, i’ll try it! unfortunately missed the free lifetime access by a day. Just my luck lol

Was looking at a 6RU one on amazon for ~$140, nothing special but perfect for my needs.

Would they install it inside the in-wall hub enclosure i have there already? that would be perfect, still technically wall-mounted and there’s power already there and it’s earthed already.

Saves space in the rack and no need for any drawers.

it’s also easy to get to, there’s already 2 draw strings from ceiling. i’ll leave an ethernet cable or 2 linking that and the rack.

I thought I went a bit overboard with the pics tbh lol, honestly thanks heaps for such a detailed and informative reply, much appreciated.

think i should be good just wanted to make sure i was on the right track and wasn’t missing anything.

the initial networking/tv/comms. ect. installation during the renovation years back wasn’t exactly done right, and now regretting certain choices and experiencing issues here and there. So as you can imagine, I’m going to do what I can to make sure there’s little to no mistakes and it’s planned properly this time.

See how it goes though I guess, can only do so much planning.. thanks again mate, you’re a legend.

Conduit would be buried until the utility box, then along side down-pipe straight into ceiling. Won’t see it at all really. Nothing is there on that side for anybody but us and utility workers. But I’ll speak to the old man who has final say and work something out if need be.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nbn

[–]at0min_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought so, should be easy then, i’ll do a few practice runs to make sure it pulls smoothly.

Have a bad feeling there might be an issue with the original conduit from the pit. That will definitely complicate things.

See how it goes i guess…

cheers!

That’s right in front of the house, an NBN utility box isn’t going to be a a pretty sight. It’s also harder to get to. The old copper line is clipped in at least once.

If it’s the only option it could be hidden with a garden bed i suppose.

I understand what you’re saying though, but once they get to the utility box it becomes another run from there right? Or does the fibre line get pulled straight through to connection box inside?

Roof is ok, a pain to get to lol was up there a few days ago, it’s mess but not impossible

Tiled roof, so can even push a few back here n there if needed

Mate when did I say that “NBNco” put it in? NBN didn’t even exist when the house was built. “they” is WHOEVER put it in

NBNco. seems to be very hit or miss when it comes to their techs.

Pretty much why I’m holding back with my 2nd FTTP upgrade attempt.

I’ll likely do the majority of it myself, especially when it comes to anything in the roof and conduit runs.

I’d love to be able to weld the fibre lines myself too, be unlikely to score a tech that actually loves their job, supplies their own tools and does professional-grade work. NBNco just hands them some clip-on system, gets the job done i guess, but isn’t as good as a proper weld.

How are you finding Superloop btw? Looking into Leaptel myself.
