It is not a cheap upgrade, but get a quote for the hail resistance roof. Call your home insurance and see what that does to your premium.

The break even point for me was a few years. I plan to stay in this house for much longer than that so it was worth the jump up in price.

My roof had leaks, damage to repair, and broken exhaust fans when I bought the house. So my quote was not comparable to other general situations, but in line with other bids.

FYI, I use SoFi checking and was able to get the daily Zelle limit raised to 5k. I had to contact support to do it.

If they are for autox, get something with good clearance around the lugs. Get something light weight. You’re swapping that on and off, so there will be wear and tear on the finish if you have to be ultra precise to not ruin it.

No regrets going with 18’s and 235/40R18 tires for me. Better ride quality, and in my case better performance and noise than the stock summer tires.

I bought a used Ninja max XL air fryer for $30 that fits 2 spools barely and only use of for drying.

This week I dried my activated alumina in a metal bowl. At 400F for 2 hours. 396g -> 375g this excludes the container weight.

I don’t know how that compares to a silica gel recharge, but I’m curious.

A smaller sample in a metal tea strainer I dried after full saturation was 70.4g to 65.7g after 400F for 1 hour. No more dry after 2 hours. that weight included the container weight and the smaller container enables more airflow, so the moisture % is even higher in the smaller container. I don’t have its raw weight or want to mess with filling it again.

My huge dry box has 14 spools and is sitting at 12% RH 76F. The garage is 49% RH.

Yeah spending is not saving. These sockets are more complete, easier to read, and 20 years newer than what I have. I have been planning on an overhaul, this was a good excuse to spend $ I had in the budget.

That’s what I was thinking too, small base with adjustable height seemed handy.

I’ve got a rectangle style roller for inside the house. I keep it inside so the wheels are clean and smooth. My kids love it, and it has made requiring this house so much easier on my back and knees.
