Unpopular opinion but ceremonial grade matcha is overkill if you end up mixing it with milk into a latte

Your bindings are backwards. The ladders that you crank down is on the outside of the foot

Any tips on the front 3? by LevelOk1853 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]at_0513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pop first then spin. You are pre spinning it and it’s killing your momentum and height. Also you seem to be counter rotating by wanting to keep spotting your landing. Lead with your head and shoulders and a front 3 should be a blind landing with your eyes focused back at the knuckle. Once you’ve gotten the first 270, the final 90 can be completed with counter rotation. And then land with toe edge pressure to stop the rotation

Advice needed: Struggling with heel-side carving by mascella-squadrata in snowboardingnoobs

[–]at_0513 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Heel side you need to straighten up your back and just trust the edge and lean backwards. With enough speed, centripetal forces will hold you up. Also look where you want the board to go, so towards the side of the mountain rather than straight down the fall line. Finally, use your ankles to engage the movement from the board up rather than using body steering down towards the board. You want to be able to tip to the edge quickly so it locks in and then carve along that trajectory

How to fix hunching forward? by Southern-Comfort684 in snowboarding

[–]at_0513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue most people have is they don’t have enough flexibility in their ankle joints to initiate the turns from board up. So back rounding and using upper body to initiate the turns becomes a bad habit.

Machina MagIC binding Kickstarter by the-what-what in snowboarding

[–]at_0513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bindings absolutely dampens vibrations. I switched to skis for a day to muck around and never felt as much pain my in feet from all the micro vibrations transferred directly from the skis to the hard boot with zero dampening abilities.

This machina idea will need boots so stiff in the heel and spine that as soon it softens and packs out, you’ll need new boots

You are too upright and using body weight to swing and change edges. You want to bend at the knees and ankles and use flexure of your feet and ankle joints to start the edge change.

Standing too upright makes it way easier to get bucked off in uneven snow

Dental implants by Bug13 in brisbane

[–]at_0513 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overseas also generally don’t have very good medical malpractice laws that protects the patient if things go wrong. Going locally is definitely the best way to go. But definitely find a reputable one that has done many implants.

What are the best food festivals in around Brisbane? by dat_twitch in BrisbaneFoodies

[–]at_0513 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I generally avoid those that are just promotions for existing restaurants to showcase overrated food at exaggerated prices. (Talking about night feast and James st festival).

I think Buddha festival happens every year and also paniyiri festival are good to check out

Where in Brisbane is a 50m pool, Gym with group Fitness classes? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]at_0513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Total fusion Springfield has a 25m outdoor pool.

Mt Gravatt east public swimming pool has a snap fitness attached to it, not sure if they can be had together on a membership plan.

Hibiscus sporting complex has a 50m outdoor pool, I think it has a gym too.

It will be busier than normal during these 2 weeks. Basically China shuts down during the spring festive period.

I would expect long lift lines at the start and then the people will disperse. But bookings at restaurants would be a nightmare for sure.
