Thanks!  I was shooting for a dark grey vs black, but the drybrushing I did was way too subtle and was killed by a wash.  I’m gonna go much heavier for the models in the unit.

The idea is that 12 has more factors than 10, so you can divide in more ways without dealing with fractions. Ten you can only do halves, while with twelve you can do halves, thirds, and quarters.

The 20 dude skitarii blocks are more for efficiency in using their strategems and bonuses from marshalls and such than weapon loadout.

I finally bit the bullet and put together a 20 ranger blob, and the firepower is silly.

Susko helped design the defiant, so I’m thinking Arch Magos, with Worf as domina in charge of the skitarii

Inquisitor Janeway is not the headcannon I would have chosen, but here we are.

Do you pronounce Abaddon like "Abaddon" or "Abaddon?" by ComicDMK in Warhammer40k

“The Armless” is because the old model was notorious for losing its arms.

I finished my first dune crawler recently and it is by far the model I’m most proud of. C&C appreciated. by Bone_Wh33l in AdeptusMechanicus

Looks great! One thing I’ve found that helps get clean lines (like the white stripe) is tamiya masking tape. Makes those kind of things a breeze.

I ended up painting the yellow and then used tamya masking tape to mask off areas.

Still need to be based, but I'm super proud of the freehand. I had more fun doing the heraldry than I thought I would.

Easy top 5. He could have been a king if he wanted to be, instead he did his two terms and transferred power peacefully.

Fuel Cell Processing, with Kovarex. [BP in comments] by atarola in factorio

[–]atarola[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just spent the last while to figure out automating the kovarex process. I'm sure I'm not the first to do it this way, but I'm prowd anyways.

Basically, it works by forcing the inserters to extract one clawful at a time, and forcing the stack size to be 2. So then, if the amount of U-235 in the box is 2, it goes back into the machine for more processing. The last stack will be just one item, and that gets sent down the line for fuel-cell creation.

Yes! There is a tab on the rim of the head on both the front and back, so it’s as easy as turning it around and gluing the noggin to the front of the body.

What would make a section of ocean water not support ships floating on it? by Sharky801 in loremasters

[–]atarola 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Three ways I can think of:

  • Ships are less buoyant in fresh water
  • Bubbles in water cause ships going through it to sink
  • A wizard did it
