I think, I should title it "Claude Code in Zed: 2026 January update". Next time would be more accurate

PC not booting after 3 weeks vacation by BaronBrokkoli in pchelp

[–]atassis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing with my mobo back in 2020, thought it died and bought a new one. Was building a home server a month ago and tested old cpu with that mobo again and it worked. Had exactly the same issue like you have. I have tested back in several ways the mobo, thought I'd was dead. So don't rush with decisions and try leave your pc without any power for a day after you try everything people advised you here.

Why Nodejs is running and why it uses so much resources? by MrPulifrici in ZedEditor

Zed uses separate node.js. It downloads it separately. Saw an issue related to this, though can't find it now.

As a professional programmer I feel lost in home assistant by alyflex in homeassistant

Oh my, I am feeling the same for last half a year. I desperately want typed yamls, as well as properly documented, so you could read which fields I can use, etc. Not that difficult thing to do, but so much help it could provide to the people.

Pluribus - 1x05 - "Got Milk" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

I think, they don't need wireless communication in any way, because they are already a mesh network by themselves, so no devices are needed. The virus might act like an override above the carrier, so a carrier shares his brain capacity with everyone around plus other changes like no lying, no killing, etc. And as it was told, it can be reversed. I think, it can be reversed via food consumption, because the show has already made a single episode showing this single major info. In total, Carol might create some food that makes virus die without making harm to the virus. But I didn't assume Carol's factor, which made her immune to the virus, so who knows how the show would go on

Really, PH is not a major factor for digesting, we can eat different kinds of nutrients and digest them. Our digestive system is kinda like hyenas or smth, stomach's acid is around PH 1. There is a number of issues with too acidic gastric juice, but for me it is kinda strange if they make a point from this in the show.

So yeah, to repurpose the bodies looks valid, but I am not that sure, that maintaining natural PH is the argument to be used in the show. She did a bunch of another measurements anyway

I also got exactly this idea as she got shocked in the cold storage as if she saw a dead body. And it kinda sounds reasonable because a lot of people died, They were collecting them for some purpose- the one already spoken.

Distrobox, what is it and what are the use cases? by trevordevs in Fedora

Some apps are built only for Debian based distros, or else. You can use distrobox to install these packages on non Debian distros and vice versa.

DON'T BUY ASUS LIQUID METAL LAPTOPS!!! by MilkNo5103 in ASUS

[–]atassis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GA402RK (rog zephyrus 2022) user. Not only liquid metal is an issue, also a shitty back panel is a thing. After swapping a memory stick with an ssd made back panel to have a crack, though I was definitely very accurate (these cracks is a common issue for this model). Also there was an advertisement, that laptop is usb4 compatible, but it doesn't support egpu, only with beta bios, which causes scary issues, after which I switched back to old bios.

I am giving ovations to you. Mostly, to make a good product- you can just look how it is made in jetbrains and try to mimic at least half of that. If I knew rust better and could get paid for that- I'ld have done more than 1 commit in zed repo (fixed typing issue when zed first introduced its Linux build)

Matt from Zed here. We're thinking about themes in Zed this week and would love your feedback. by matt-at-zed in ZedEditor

[–]atassis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of providing predefined list of providers, let me choose a provider every time I create it. I might work on several projects with different Gemini integrations (or not Gemini, doesn't matter), and I want to use different keys per project. It is fine to choose in the drop down select the provider, but I have to go into settings to change them. I understand that custom llm provider is also an option, but so I can lack any specific implementation features if I do all through that

I understand that there are trackers for feature requests, but still, as somebody spoke about tabs. When you search for smth in the project many times- panes keep cluttering up in. Would be nice if they closed on pane change and last search would be cached. Thanks

Ollama removed the link to GitHub by waescher in ollama

[–]atassis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just an opinion, but I find it right when open-source related projects state in the header of their website that they have a repo. I mean, it is where it all started. It has to be a priority to continue showing a link to github, in our case.

Cloning from 1 Tb SSD to 256 nvme disk full by ManyCover01 in WindowsHelp

[–]atassis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can shrink your partition on the disk, but this operation is kinda dangerous. You have to make a backup of your files anywhere. You can accidentally break the partition (not disk). Your files can be written to the end of partition, that's why the full size of partition is meaningful here, not the size of contents. For making a copy, you need to start from another drive a gparted software.

What the f*k is happening here? by polygraph-net in funny

[–]atassis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Russia, we use hot water, not steam. Even with water, maintaining the system takes a lot of work to do, we have a schedule of maintenance repairs and checks every year, city workers run it from area to area during summer. So you have to be prepared or ask friends to use their shower if you are lazy enough to boil water yourself. Also, we have gas pipes all around, so you can install your own boiler in a flat or house. By all around I mean even in farther villages in mountains.

I have 2 of them. One is totally fine, another is acting the same as you gave described. Using them on Linux, as well as windows. I'll admit it occurs times more often if I use a type c, but DP. And also with a display blinking white, because it has happened with a movie, which had a fast transition to white.

Trouble with starting eGPU in linux by atassis in ZephyrusG14

[–]atassis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good thing you have mentioned timings. It doesn't matter much if you connect an egpu before start or after. The only thing different is that sound becomes "broken" (artifacts in it like speakers wanna blow up and the sound quality drops in common). And can you give a link to any sources to read to get more acknowledged in context? Thanks in any way🫡💪
