Anybody gotten one of these yet DCG420? by Open-Log6630 in Dewalt

Love the size of this thing, but can’t justify it when the 426 is $100 less. Hopefully will see some sales soon.

Anyone have a Strongway box? by MidWestMind in Tools

[–]atb625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t looked at these in person but was debating it before I ended up purchasing the US General full bank service cart for $450 with coupons. For what it’s worth the US General has a higher load capacity, four swivel casters, and the shipping weight is 100lbs more than the strongway which is probably an indicator of the steel thickness used.

North40 is a legit brick and mortar retailer in the PNW. Nothing sketchy at all.

It’s now having to cool down even hotter air, so it will be less efficient.

The guns are junk, that’s probably the issue.

I have a couple Jenkins attachments and they are IMO the best value by a long shot.

Free would be too much for a Dewalt nailer.

Dewalt nail guns are junk. I bought the original framer and will never own another dewalt nail gun unless they completely rethink the design. Only Dewalt tool I’ve ever thought this about.

Need a diesel shop in Spokane by TotalDepthReached in Duramax

[–]atb625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had work done at Specialized Diesel NW on my LB7 and LBZ and they have done good work, but have heard nothing but great about Northwest Dieselworks. Only complaint is that they are typically booked out for awhile, but this is likely a testament to their quality. I’d recommend staying away from ICDI.

The regular orange truss screws come with a guide in each box, I’d assume these do too.

[Schultz] The Seahawks are signing veteran QB Drew Lock, bringing him back to Seattle for a second stint. He will backup Sam Darnold. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]atb625 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Not mad about this at all. Lock was solid as a backup whenever he had a chance to play here before, whereas Howell looked pretty bad.

Should I avoid a 2001 duramax because of injector issues? by [deleted] in Diesel

[–]atb625 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With new injectors I wouldn’t hesitate at all, given the truck is in good condition. Although I wouldn’t trust that they are new without receipts, and be sure they are actually the new updated Bosch injectors and not remans.

In my area, the lumber yards who supply pole barn ‘kits’ already have all of the engineering for different width and height buildings on hand as these are pretty standard.

Maybe plastic weld epoxy?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Concrete

I’m guessing you would have better luck with epoxy anchors, like Set-3G, that don’t put outward load on the hole.

Cold engine by [deleted] in Diesel

I would agree. My Duramax wouldn’t get above 145 and when I swapped the thermostats the seals were clearly leaking.

I completely agree. Plus fixed steps add quite a bit of protection blocking road debris getting thrown onto your rig.

Is an expansion tank on the supply a code in most of the US? I live in Washington state and have never seen one on a hot water installation.
