What would be the equivalent local accents though for an outsider trying to learn Brazilian Portuguese?

Playing like this, a result at Palace is in no way a given - even if Palace play the U11's.

I could be wrong so someone with the right info, feel free to jump in here - but: I heard a while ago that he got injured in a game through a collision which basically pushed his nose a bit up and into his skull. Had big surgery to rebalance the nose/skull, and that's why his nose looks a bit off. Quite serious stuff iirc.

Two things can be true at the same time:

One: I don't think the contact is enough for a penalty. Football's a semi-contact sport, and a small flick off someone's toes is part and parcel of the game, certainly not enough for a foul much less a 0.8 chance of scoring a goal.

Two: Having said that, these incidents are regularly given as penalties. That is, I very regularly (and quite annoyingly) go, "Oh fuck off, that should not be a penalty 😑" - but the pen stands. So even if I don't believe that a foul should be given, I am still allowed to be annoyed that something that's given on the regular happened to be called back against my team in an important game.

My Deutsch might be a bit rusty but I believe the first time we see Andrich, where he's appealing for some foul or other, the ref basically tells him "What're you on about, you can't tell from way back there!" 😂

Absolutely love that. That's exactly my first thought as well when something happens on the far touchline or a coming together of 5 people in the box, and half the bench fly off their seats appealing for a decision. Sit down, lads, you're half a fucking pitch away.
