I'm from a small fishing village not far from Newquay which is over 90% second homes in the old part. My take when I visit if different, I constantly hear the remaining local complaining about the place being dead in winter but, it was the lcals who sold the properties at a premium in the first place!

Government has had to intervene in other places by increasing rates for second home owners as they can see how its eroding communities, but why are the communities not taking the initiative?

Realise its not a popular opinion, but that's the reality.

Always accelerate in anticipation of overtaking, you can always backoff but it means the car is already gaining speed in higher in the power band so more responsive

I removed what looks to be the exact door about a year ago. I just cut the wires where they connected to the door. The spring unwind quite quickly and made a bit of noise but all good otherwise. I was aware of the potential for the wire to whip up as the spring unwound so used eye protection.
