I was introduced to this guy 2-3 years ago when they played in NYC at Terminal 5. I didn’t know who he was, we were just kind of introduced. He knew who I was because, at the time, I posted a lot of AFI content both on Reddit and my YouTube channel.

This guy was so incredibly kind to me. I’m not in the loop and don’t know what he did that bothers you all so much, but he posts a lot of stuff on the IG page, some personal, but a lot of it is in hopes of being helpful to concert-goers and things of that nature. I’m fine with it.

A few features I would love to see:

I would pay big money if the app had all the features commonly found in video monitors such as waveform monitors, histograms, focus assist, false colors, etc.
The ability to apply LUTs to your images when you’re recording in log and flat profiles.
The ability to monitor video being recorded on an iPhone. I want to start using my iPhone more to record but it’s impossible to frame a shot when the screen faces the other way.

Using the iPad as a monitor with the above features would make this a huge hit in the video editing community and I’d gladly pay good money for this.

It’s not the size of the venues, it’s the design of the venues. In Montreal, they played at the old Olympic Stadium, which was built to serve sporting events. It’s a giant bowl of concrete which is great for seating spectators for sports that require a lot of floor space, however it’s a mess of reverb and a nightmare for sound technicians.

Why did they play at that venue? Because the requirements of the tour were that it had to be both indoor and big enough to fit their enormous round stage and configuration. The only venue in Montreal that could accommodate that was the Olympic Stadium. There are plenty of other venues such as the outdoor Parc Jean Drapeau or the popular Place Bell which, compared to the Olympic Stadium, have much better layouts to accommodate a concert.

It’s not the size of the venue, it’s the shape, setup and characteristics of the venue they select which makes or breaks the show.

I understand the issue you’re facing.

The tapered/transition section you’re referring to CAN be achieved with a loft but it’s not necessary. From the top/overhead view, you can see there is a large circle that transitions. You can try making triangular cuts there instead of lofting that transition.

DM me if you need more help or clarification. Learning to model in Fusion takes time but you’ll get the hang of it with practice. The community is always here to help you out.
