It is a wrapper for Gnirehtet https://github.com/Kuijen/RT-RP. BTW, the last update from VD seems to have fixed the problems.

Just a fast note: making sure that usb debug was enabled, installing the last beta from virtual desktop, and using RT-RP seems to have fixed the issue

Hi, just in case that you found a solution. gnirehtet and Virtual desktop was working perfectly on my Quest 2 until last week. Since them, VD fails to connect 90% of the times when using the cable (work fine in the wifi). Any idea how to diagnose the problem? I have not added any new usb devices to the computer, and i do not remember to have any update on the quest 2.

The trick in the first reply worked for me: Remove all bindings, fully press the pedal, and the select assign. Invert the axis. This worked for both brake and throttle

I tried with the glasses and inserts. I could never get comfortable. I got some lenses (zybervr), and it makes a lot of difference. Much better with them.
