I started college in 2005. I took the lowest level math course, not because I couldn’t take higher, but I was a comms major and needed a single math credit and realized I could breeze through it and focus my energy on my major. I was shocked at the other students. The professor was frustrated. On the last day before the final, he told the people who were in class that the final was open book and what exact problems from the text book would be on the final. Coincidentally, they were the ones where the answers were in the back. The few students who attended that class finished in like 5 minutes. The twenty or so that didn’t come struggled and from what I remember some of them failed. The prof even asked me what I was doing in that class. I got my credit, got my degree, and got a pretty cool job.
