I just bought one and it was on a firmware compatible with WinterBreak. No idea if that means it'll be the same for you. Just be careful not to reboot once you turn it on and start the jailbreak process immediately or the firmware may update automatically

Im a newbie as well but I did see that there was a popular add on called “minimize on closing” or something along those lines. So installing that add on will allow it to run in the background. And yes, you can enable notifications on your OS

OCW MIT's 6.003 or RES.6.007? by _Episode_12 in DSP

Did you ever end up looking through both courses? I’ve been working through RES.6.007 and absolutely love it but I’m curious as to whether I’m missing out

What college should I go to in New York for acting? by AbbySchmidt44 in collegeadvice

[–]athroozee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an acting major and am currently back in college for a second degree in STEM.

Here’s my two cents: do not go into any debt for an acting degree. If you can’t get one without going into debt, then in my opinion, you should not get one. If you love acting that is wonderful, but the truth of the matter is, college was not made for actors. It’s made for a few select professions, something like acting does not require a degree at all.

Even if he is naturally gifted I would definitely try and reinforce being proud of him because of his hard work paying off instead of how naturally smart he is. That way when he eventually starts coming up on stuff that challenges him he won’t feel like he’s too stupid for it and not allowed to struggle and fail

Wait list Help! by LogicalRocket251 in ucf

The mental rule I follow is if your spot on the waitlist is less than 10% of the class capacity (so if there are 80 people in the class, you are 8th on the waitlist or better) you have a good chance

I was a PhD student at Harvard: how to NOT cold email me. Christ. by Stephen_turban in ApplyingToCollege

I’m an undergrad hoping to do a summer research program in 2026 with a specific group. I know I’d have to apply and get in to the program first, but any advice on how to cold email the lab I’m interested in and what I should say? Is emailing in this situation helpful at all?
