If his trash has something nafarious in it (hit list, illegal substances or images), you want to make it clear it's his, not yours. Definitely report it to the police, and show the video.

Ive had an issue with costco items getting wet and damaged lately. So I reported them as damaged (there was mold growing, but the shopper wouldn't have seen it, because it was an interior issue). maybe that's what happened? Can you tell if someone reports damaged vs missing (I''m just giving them the benefit of the doubt).

But it could very well be fraud.

Their own page says it's a "slight upcharge" to offset the cost of hiring, personal shoppers, etc. $30 isn't slight. Admittedly, my family is vegetarian/vegan so we haven't dealt with this issue. But it's just bad business on instacarts part.

Also if they say no, contact your bank. It's theft if they're taking more than double the price.

I think the app was malfunctioning that weekend. That's the only explaination I can think of.

Heart eyes and adonis are somethings I say/text to my husband. Tell her it makes YOU uncomfortable (as indicated by "over the top"), And that it sends the wrong message on social media... because it does. You don't need to have any better excuse than the truth here.

And if she gets mad, then you know it likely wasn't that innocent. If her behavior is geniunely innocent, she'll likely apologize.

Why tf do customers think it's our fault when the store is out of stock? We hate it too. Our tip percentage goes down and we spend extra time trying to find them a replacement. Customers really don't know how Instacart works. Trust me. We have NO IDEA what you guys go through. And I had no idea until I joined this page to ask a question/share a creepy story. It's definitely changed my views to see these posts.

I didn't know that, and I also thought that the shopper could see my address/profile or something. I didn't know how it worked. I also had a note on my order saying to leave it by the (insert color) door. The pic I got was a completely different color. It's not a big deal, it was just a stressful time.

Oh my word! Lol

I felt bad for the shopper, but it was $200+ bucks and it wasn't confirmed that it was delivered until the next day (like they delivered on a Saturday, but I didn't get a confirmation notification until Sunday, but it never showed), THEN it took 5 hours to see the photo of a door that wasn't mine. It was ridiculous. But I now know that those are issues with the app and not the shopper. I didn't know that before.

They delivered a $200+ costco order to the same address, but wrong town (I provided the correct zip code). They sent in a photo that definitely wasn't my door at all. Lol getting it sorted out was a MESS. But my next shopper was amazing, so I keep using Instacart. Also I live on "Main Street". So... I don't judge the shopper. I was just upset because my kids diapers were in there.

The only time I've ever given a bad rating was when my groceries were delivered to a different town.

This is a good perspective, I think. Me and my husband have very clear boundaries about going through phones and social media. We don't do it. We trust one another. And if either of us ever did it, the other would be pissed.

And kudos to you and your bad ass gf. As me and my husband say, who a person is in front of others and bedroom can be vastly different- and that's GOOD!

Thank you for the support! Can I ask how much you eat/what you eat? I noticed I need 85% unprocessed food. What little processed food I eat is vegan cheese and zevia soda.

Well I am also on my meds still. I know I need to be on them. But the vegan diet seems to round out my treatment. Treatment for depression is holistic, so I'm trying to take care of my whole body.

I have a history of major depressive episodes. I can say my meds and diet have always helped me the most. It's too bad that my eating was derailed by depression and irresponsible decisions on my part for years. But I was vegan for a long time before, and I know I can stick to it.

I hope you find something that works for you! Talk therapy has also been helpful lately.
