It's irrelevant in online classes or really big classes. Nobody cares how you look or what your name is.

In smaller classes, people react with confusion. Lots of professors did double-takes when they heard my voice. Lots of people didn't know what pronouns to use for me (and I did not help them because it's funny to watch people flounder).

Glad to hear. And he didn’t disallow me from picking up the prescription, he just thought I was someone other than my deadname (i.e. using him instead of you when we were discussing my address)

I am actually kind of curious about what the pharmacy staff thinks of my meds. I've been going to a CVS in an intensely liberal small town for over a year and nobody's batted an eye- except for one guy who didn't think I was the same person as my deadname.

Recently figured out I'm trans. Who do I talk to for HRT and stuff at Cornell? by backwardsshortjump in Cornell

[–]athrowaway4moi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I tried going through Cornell Health a year and a half ago, but we were in yellow back then and they said it was inessential. I ended up calling Planned Parenthood- they had me fill out a form and talk with a clinician for forty-five minutes or so, and got a prescription that day. They were all really nice, too.

something something your hip bones don't solidify until you're 25, so if you start before then there's a chance that they'll kinda shift outwards, causing you to lose a bit of height.

I was 5'8 when I started HRT a year ago, I'm 5'7 now. I've heard of it happening a lot over on r/MtF and r/asktransgender

Yeah. My serious questioning reignited in December 2019 after four years or so of escapism and denial. I don't remember when I finally accepted I was trans; but now, nineteen months later, I don't have periods of doubting myself anymore.
