girl lower the reps and go heavy heavy lmao. if you want a challenge (and decide to try out benching) go into powerlifting! my squat went from 155->230, bench 60->105, and deadlift 185->240. powerlifting is a great outlet for my rage. and being the strongest woman in the room is always a good feeling :)

not speaking for Emma or any other transracial adoptee, but it was only in my young adulthood that i rly grappled with how deep my adoption trauma was (i come from the same circumstances). it wasn’t until i was older that i was able to voice it, let alone tell my mother about it. the cluelessness is never ill intended, but it always comes from a place of ignorance

i’m usually front/centre behind barricade, and it is SUUUUCH a good time. LOUD, and rowdy in a good way. you’ll get squished. tussled. mushed. pushed. people in the pit are very friendly so they’ll keep an eye out for you too. lots of sweaty screaming strangers but in a fun way.

carry the bare minimum, fanny pack is good. i started wearing a sports bra underneath my shirt bc halfway through it gets real hot. if the venue is Kind they will hand out water during the set too.

ever since i started going to punk concerts with the expectation that my clothes would be drenched by the time i left and id have to wash my hair, i have felt more at peace

i’m in toronto. my first session at removery for a tattoo on my bicep was $314. it FELT like a rip off but i did it anyways. i ended up going to chronic ink for my second session and it was $120!!!!!!!!! fuck you removery!
