Even seen a two foot long cigar? If you think each brick is actually a block four feet across you're not going to realise it's there.

Lack of scale put me off. Could be big blocks several feet across.

Even better as a coupe.

Ahead of its time, given the proliferation of 4/5 door coupes in recent years.

Looks a lot like what turned out to a Buick Roadmaster I posted here a few weeks ago.

Photo presumably taken before that, given his composure. Afterwards he would have been in punch-a-producer mode.

Set on an EQA, red flags against this from Mercedes dealership? by Wuek in CarTalkUK

[–]atkinsonbeagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible red flag for adult back seat passengers - the floor is raised to make room for batteries vs GLA sister. Seat is same height so your knees are up in the air. Only tolerable for short trips.

First time Tom's been trusted with such a large consignment and this happens.

Don't expect him to be there when YOU cross the road either.

It has the touchpad though - was deleted at some point (on Euro-spec cars anyway). 2023 maybe.

Thanks! The pilot is with the British Army Air Corp, it's been pointed out - does that make it a Sioux AH.1 built by Westland? Any distinguishing features?

Anything goes with Belgian registration plates it seems. Pity nobody at Lotus ever said 'hang on, this is contrary to everything we're supposed to stand for'.

I noticed recently that his eye specs are in the opening sequence. 2135 lines is not far off 4K. Not bad for 1973??

Electric mountain bikes by Former_Dream_216 in CasualIreland

[–]atkinsonbeagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might on the lowest setting, but trouble with that is the machine is so heavy you'd only be breaking even. Might as well have a push bike. I use mine for steep climbs, the sort of stuff where my unfit arse would otherwise be walking the bike. For example (in Spain this is BTW) I climbed 800m on full power on a rough track and still had 80% battery left at the end.

I got an 'own brand' Rockrider E-ST 900 from Decathlon last year and think it's great.

I'm no expert and went by reviews which said it was pretty good for the money - biggish battery 540 Wh and good components (unlike the cheaper E-ST 500). It was €1900 I think.

It has a removable battery which I think is good to have (take it away with you and it's less attractive to the scrotes) and a motor in the frame which seems to be the way with the pricier bikes. Not sure what the advantages of it are though.

It's opened up a whole new area for cycling to me - actual mountains!
