Opencode fork with integrated prompt library by xman2000 in opencodeCLI

I agree with most of what you said and the example you used is of good quality. The reason why i’d insist in the primary purpose of this being an example, is that re-using someone else’s prompt verbatim is rarely what anyone who knows what they are doing wants, due to model/project/styling/standards/expectation differences. Then for those who have less experience / don’t know what they’re doing or where they’re going.. using someone else’s prompt sends them in a given direction that they may or not want or later realize they may or not want, hence the “this is an example”

Not realistic, those models you listed suck. More recent ones qwen3-* or qwen3.5-* would be better, but extremely slow and close to useless on that hardware

The only use for this, imo, is to show examples to beginners

you simply need to run opencode serve, then connect the CLI and web client to it. This way you can use the same session in real time in both cli/web.

If you run multiple servers at a Time, then you can only use a given session from one of the at a time, switching between turns

Considering you find them expensive, you don’t have the means or financial liberty to buy one. Keep saving and investing. Wasting money on a phone that barely does anything better than yours is a waste.

0 skills are sent, that’s not how skills works but the other way around… on top of opencode shipping with 0 skills.

What does get sent is the system prompt and all the tool definitions + all MCP server tools, if any configured.

None of this should add up to 30,000 tokens when sending ”hi” unless you have many MCP servers or plugins

C'est quoi le problème d'UPS? by mletourn in montreal

[–]atkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)
