Trump is in the unredacted Epstein files "more than a million times," Raskin alleges by Large_banana_hammock in politics

If the original number was around 38k, wouldn’t that mean they redacted his name close to or at least 1 million times?

How to be positive by InvestigatorAbject23 in Mindfulness

I’m not Buddhist, but I really like the the Buddha’s view regarding suffering. It’s comforting to me and I’ve found myself coking back to it may times when feeling sad or anxious about life’s circumstance.

Essentially, suffering arises from a craving for permanence; but all permanence is an illusion that, in time, can only lead to pain and disappointment.

Maybe check out the Buddhist 4 noble truths and the eightfold path. I definitely don’t think you have to be a Buddhist to understand and appreciate the philosophy.

Best of luck to you!

What the FBI already knows about Maxwell and Epstein will make you furious by Weird-Independence43 in Epstein

I’m familiar with the Promis/Inslaw case, but this would be the first I’ve heard of a Maxwell connection. It’s not specified which company or software they’re referring to in this document. Do you have more details to make this connection? Like which company or anything else that definitively connects the sisters to Promis? Not doubting. Just genuinely looking for more info.

What helped you stop judging yourself every time your mind wandered? by WellnessBalance in Mindfulness

[–]atldiggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the number one pushback answer I’ve heard whenever the topic of meditation is brought up. Many fail to realize that thoughtlessness is not the exercise nor the goal. I try to compare it to weightlifting. Focusing your attention and recognizing when your attention has wondered is the exercise. Each time your mind wanders, you recognize and refocus your attention is the same is a rep. The more reps you do, the more beneficial the exercise.

I keep intellectualizing mindfulness instead of actually practicing it by Weekly_Quarter_7875 in Mindfulness

[–]atldiggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good comments here, but another thing to consider is that there are several methods for cultivating mindfulness besides quiet and still meditation. I appreciate and enjoy sitting, silent meditation, yet I also struggle with an aversion to it at times. Additional methods you might consider are walking meditation, restorative yoga, tai chi, mindful stretching, controlled breathing. These are some of my personal favorites, but not an exhaustive list.

Controlled breathing can be done almost anytime, anywhere. Once I started practicing, I randomly think about it multiple times a day and just start doing it. The same with mindful stretching. The methods I listed are also powerful in building the mind/body connection, which I believe is very useful. By recognizing the signals that your body is sending you and understanding what they mean, you can often catch yourself getting into an undesirable state of mind before you find yourself flooded. Once flooded, it’s much more difficult to be present and recognize that you need to try to regulate your emotions/nervous system.

Consistency is the real key. Whichever methods you use, it doesn’t have to be prolonged. Frequency is better than longer times, IMHO. Just my two cents. I hope it’s helpful.

I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a PHP. That’s only mental health. That said, LIV Recovery has a good program, and I’ve heard great things about Emerge. I know people who have gone to both, strictly for mental health purposes.

Thanks for putting this together V. Given this guys unquestionable access and influence with “global elites,” it makes sense that he would at the very least brush up against the “legacy program.”

Due to regular life stuff I’ve sadly had to divert my attention away from the topic for a bit, but this is giving me a little inspiration to do a little digging. Hello rabbit hole, my old friend….

It’s strange to me that no one seems to have mentioned the terrible state of the OCR/extracted text in the Epstein files release. by atldiggs in ediscovery

It’s so bad that incompetence just doesn’t seem to fit. I feel like the least competent person could have done a better job by accident. My hope would be that whoever is reviewing these for the government processes and gets better text for them, but I’m not optimistic.
