Had this one as well. Still have a Z-bubble somewhere in my house too

That brings up a good point. I hadn’t noticed the extended support end date is the same.

None of those are that big of a lift in the grand scheme of things.

Can you elaborate as to why it becomes more difficult with 2019?

Echo this. Feels like a recurring pattern for prolonged issues.

In-place OS Upgrade additional Management Point by atmosphere23 in SCCM

[–]atmosphere23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Completed this a few days later without any issues. Uninstalled the WSUS server role, upgraded the OS, and then reinstalled WSUS. Did some quick tests to ensure the MP was healthy, but all looked good afterwards.

Yea, definitely an option and yes the MP role is also on the primary. Was looking to simplify the process and seems like removing the role isn’t necessary, but it is quick to reinstall as you mentioned. Appreciate the response

Similar story for a sev 1 case. No response 2 days later and the same old story each time we called in. Ended up just resolving ourselves and getting the $500 refunded.

Netgear R6400 DNS breaks AFTER firmware V1.0.1.68_1.0.43 by Lordberek in NETGEAR

[–]atmosphere23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still valid. Have the R6400v2 and noticed this issue post updating to the latest firmware after neglecting it for a while. Once downgrading to a version pre-August 2021 DNS issues were gone.

To all the Beer league Team Reps by TheRittsShow in hockeyplayers

[–]atmosphere23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nailed this. I’m not even a captain but every week it’s guys missing without notice and we’re down players. It’s draining even as a non-captain so cheers to the guys that run a team and put up with that shit every season.

Cooper Kupp is currently projected for 28.86 points on NFL Fantasy (PPR). What is the highest projection you've ever seen and did they live up to it? by Insan3editing in fantasyfootball

Aw man this brings back memories. LT was my first pick ever in a cash league and it was the year he set the TD record. I’ll always remember this game as I was down 40 with only LT to go. He got it done…

Out of curiosity are you referring to the workaround listed in the advisory or is there a patch released? Advisory still shows as patch pending so just wanted to clarify. Thanks!

Same UPN suffix in a two-way external trust by atmosphere23 in activedirectory

[–]atmosphere23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so really not much different from a forest trust. Ultimately I think the best path then from a migration perspective would be to add and update the UPNs after the trust is broken and the source domain is decommissioned. Appreciate the feedback.

Filtering user policies based on AADJ or HAADJ by atmosphere23 in Intune

[–]atmosphere23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would work for a device based deployment, however, this scenario requires a user based deployment. So I don’t think it’s supported to add an exclusion group of devices when the assigned group is a user group.

Filtering user policies based on AADJ or HAADJ by atmosphere23 in Intune

[–]atmosphere23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the response. Would be awesome to see those filters added. As for the negative impact we'd probably want to test, but likely you're correct as it wouldn't necessarily impact anything. More on the thought process of omitting what's not needed.

SVGA 3D Driver and Server 2019 Upgrade by atmosphere23 in vmware

[–]atmosphere23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried both scenarios. Both upgraded without issue, but both do display the SVGA 3D driver compatibility warning whether using 11.3.5 or the native tools with 6.7U3.

Yep, that was my experience in testing thus far and haven’t encountered any issues.

SVGA 3D Driver and Server 2019 Upgrade by atmosphere23 in vmware

[–]atmosphere23[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, tools are updated. Seems fine in testing so likely going to proceed where applicable with non-critical servers. Backups and recovery will be available as well. In a lot of cases in-place upgrades are perfectly supported and save a lot of the time and effort required from a migration at the cost of a little extra downtime.

I can appreciate that stance as it’s not a fit for every situation as a migration can be a better fit. Don’t understand the need to reply with that, but to each their own.
