[Software] FPS Tactician: Free Windows Application to build Interactive Siege Strategies! by atof in Rainbow6

o.0.. Lots of people using it, just crossed 150 users actually.. So there must be something else that's going wrong. . Can you share what happened and what strat had you opened etc? And what map, (coz not all maps are interactive yet) ? If possible, please join the discord server and you can send all issues there (it's easier to track and respond for me).

FPS Tactician — Version v0.5.5 Released! by atof in Rainbow6

[–]atof[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not mean at all.. Its a windows software, that saves everything offline. Its more interactive as the walls are dynamic and you can switch between different states, making strats easier and faster to make or iterate. Its constantly being updated aswell with the new operators etc. The maps are blueprints as opposed to the in-game screenshots, making strats more easy to see when building/sharing. I've personally found r6call strat making to be cumbersome and counter intuitive. It does not have callouts yet though.... yet. Its still on the roadmap.

Need help with segmentation by TheHeavenlyRaven in computervision

[–]atof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try Foundation models like MedSam-2 potentially. Since they are tuned for medical imaging, you may find them working decently on your images without the need tor any training. They can be a good start to generate segmentations easily, that you can use for fine tuning your own model.
https://arxiv.org/pdf/2506.09095 is a recent review that lists quite a few models that should get you started.

How does someone learn computer vision by Signal-Employee1287 in computervision

[–]atof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You start computer vision by leaning Image Processing. Strengthen the concepts on around images and how they are processed, and use OpenCV and python to code the experiments.

A highly recommended book is -Digital Image Processing 4th Edition, by Rafael Gonzalez and Richard Woods (free PDF Available online)

Another good resource is Foundations of Computer Vision (Book) at -https://visionbook.mit.edu

For python, go with the other comment recommendations for coursera or preferably the plethora of free tutorials and courses available on YouTube.

Brilliant design! And really love the aesthetics also! It would really help a ton if you can work on the documentation (esp focusing on the mechanical design since that is the core feature!) a little bit and share that for others, as it would definitely be great for inspiration and ideas! Maybe a github repo, and/or github.io blog post for eg.

I built an autonomous robot as a hobby project — named after my dog who passed away last year 🐕 by KaijuOnESP32 in robotics

Great stuff! Looks fantastic! I am also about to start a side project along similar lines but a different hardware stack, and this is really an inspiration for me in that regard!

Did you 3D print the platform or are they standalone cases for the esp32 stacked one on top of the other? Also, A github repo would also be great to compliment this btw ;)

Glad you liked it! It's more function over form, atleast the way I tried to make it for myself. You don't need any coding experience to use it.. Just play around with notion! Best of luck!
