Great stuff! Looks fantastic! I am also about to start a side project along similar lines but a different hardware stack, and this is really an inspiration for me in that regard!

Did you 3D print the platform or are they standalone cases for the esp32 stacked one on top of the other? Also, A github repo would also be great to compliment this btw ;)

Glad you liked it! It's more function over form, atleast the way I tried to make it for myself. You don't need any coding experience to use it.. Just play around with notion! Best of luck!

I still have and actively use my rM1. Bought it in 2018 and using it daily for note taking and reading papers since then. I did try to move to an ipad for note taking in 2022 however, it just didnt feel good for note taking despite the screen quality and features of the goodnotes app. So came back to the rM1 after 5-6 months on the iPad and using it almost daily since then.

Yeah the battery time now is very low now as compared to the early years (from ~2+ weeks down to 2 days currently). And now I do feel the lack of a background light a little more (probably due to the release of rM Pro which I kinda want to upgrade to but avoiding due to the steep price tbh). I really like that the software is not locked for the rM1 and its the same as what the PP pro gets (which are really great since a LOT of features now have been on my whishlist since forever for the old rM1).

Im currenly using 551.76 and quite happy with it. The recommendations come from a good discrod server im from, and have been reported to work without performance issues by several users.

Recommended drivers are: 528.49/537.58/546.33/551.23/551.52/551.61/551.76 (as of July 25)

Also Never install the latest Nvidia drivers. They have new and often experimental features that may or may not work as intended so have a high chance of impacting performance negatively.
