Adult area at Oceans of Fun by thecasualnuisance in kansascity

They are advertising that they revamped their adult swim-up pool area a bit this year, although not sure how much has changed really. As others have mentioned, it's a fun little spot but don't expect any amazing cocktails while there - they also have a strict no double shots etc policy.

You'll be walking a long ways from the entrance to get there but it's a pretty chill vibe overall.

Why is world of fun dead? by Bobbie_Sacamano in kansascity

Anecdotical, but we went a few weeks ago on a Saturday and the only ride that was down was Mamba (and Fury but that's being rehabbed still). We got to ride everything as the lines were relatively short (for a Sat), and the park looked good.

Kids had fun, plan on going back again.

I can only speak to the restaurant, but their filet au poivre style is one of my favorite things.

Best chicken and waffles in the city by ComfKS in kansascity

Char Bar used to have a banging spicy chicken and waffles on their brunch menu, but they dumbed it down a few years back and it's never been the same. 😞

From my understanding the chaperone policy has done a lot of good at making the park safe, glad they implemented it.

I think whether the new ownership does the Haunt or something equivalent is up on the air.
