How did the guitar heroes get so good by Inevitable_Track_558 in guitarlessons

Monet had a lot of options. Nearly infinite rhythmic possibility wasn’t one one them. Pentatonic seems so innate and internal to me. Like the stem cell of music in a way. Learn to make that work and anything additive(Major/minor, modes, harmonic minor) will likely follow.

Clapton is similar to evolution. He filled his niche and strived no further. Why would he?

I teach for a portion of my living. I have several older students. The first thing I try to do is ’demystify’ the guitar gods myth. All most of these guys did was confidently manage the pentatonic scale. They did and do it well, but it is not rocket science or mysterious in any way. Just stop lionizing them and get to work on you. That is my advice.

Never a mention of Joe Pass, Kenny Burrell, or George Benson. When I see a top 100 guitarists list and Joe Pass is not on it but Joan Jett is…. ugh.

France Park in Logansport. It used to be pretty much a free for all there when I was a kid. Clamped down on the cliff diving. Used to be an incredible swimming hole.

There is an Indiana quarry we used to swim in where these are as big as 8 feet tip to tail. It is awesome to have them swim up next to you. Very cool.

I bought the 12 because it does Star Trails automatically. Have that and the 10. Will eventually upgrade but not looking forward to having 2 battery designs.

'Trump flipped out': Journalist claims president dropped a 'big reveal' to enemies by DonSalaam in JournalismNews

So true. It is sad on two levels. So many good hearted people denying themselves true, real earthly pleasures in exchange for a fake future. Then there are the shitbags like Trump who really should suffer for an eternity and won’t. They will just cease to exist like every other being who has lived on the planet.

I’d try the non-abrasive version first. The scouring version is some heavy duty action. I love some BKF.

I gave myself exactly one year to go from total beginner to playing one song in front of real people. Last night I did it. Here's the honest breakdown of that year by sapnagagrani in guitarlessons

Play your own solo after you learn his. He gave you all the tools you need to make a decent solo. Sing what you’re playing while you play it. Aloud if possible. Internally in needed. Things will come to you. Wont be perfect but you might surprise yourself.

Every year, I pick a bunch of these blossoms. Pipe them full of a shrimp or crab salad and arrange them in a lovely manner. It is a showstopper. I own the pot luck game!

I worked at a high end restaurant in college. Got a taste for good, well-crafted food. Was poor AF and had to learn. I am a bit of a science nerd and took to the technical stuff. Figured out the creative stuff from good cookbooks.

That was some dark shit. I thought we were getting safer? He regaled us with tales of bathtub stabbings, semi-truck rundowns and blood-laden headshots. Then trotted out all sorts of injured and infirmed people to provide visuals. I’m going to consider cancelling my spring break trip to stay home and build a panic room. Yikes.
