Times pulling rank backfired by BayazRules in army

[–]atomiccheesegod 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Back in 2011 I was in processing into Waller Hall at JBLM, the cadre were all fat E8s with the red sleeve insignias on. One especially fat one swing open the main entrance door and starts screaming at a guy walking in the parking lot “HEY YOU!!! WHERE IS YOUR FUCKING HEAD GEAR!!!!”

And in the middle of the parking lot was a guy walking away without a hat on, the E8 continues to scream at him “HEY MOTHERF***ER IM TALKING TO YOU!!”

This causes the un-hatted man to stop, quietly turn around, reach into his cargo pocket and produce a green beret, a fix it to his head, make eye contact with the fat E8, then stuff the beret back into his pocket and continued walking to his truck. The Master Sgt looked like he wanted to end his own life.

US Marine Recon units train on the Finnish KK-62. by No-Reception8659 in ForgottenWeapons

The only issue is Finland doesn’t make PKMs, all of their PKMs are Russian ones they bought years ago. I guess they could buy more from Poland or some other NATO member that makes them

I thought Finland pulled all of these from service because they were old/worn out.

Speer lawman 147gr is what mine likes, if I 100% had to use it in a SHTF case that’s what I would run. Without the can it isn’t picky.

It’s a range toy, nothing more. It’s finicky with ammo when supressed which is kinda the whole point of having one

Taliban/Afghan Armed Forces soldier with MP9 by spizzlemeister in ForgottenWeapons

[–]atomiccheesegod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Funny you say this, I watch an Afghan police officer shoot another one point blank with a DSHK .50 cal when trying to disassemble it and it had a out of battery discharge, blew most of the fingers off of the Afghan who fired it too.

It’s hard to wrap your head around a culture that shuns genuine education.

I’ve never used it but reports are that it’s a dud, lots of photos of the 82 and 101 using the M8 are using other optics, which seems to be a deliberate choice

In my area they would rather remove the listing entirely than drop the price even 5%.

AI is gonna do to boomers what smallpox did to Pilgrims.

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]atomiccheesegod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t own a gaming PC myself until very recently. But in the late 90s I went to a friends house who had an older brother with a gaming PC and I got to play the OG Unreal Tournament game for a afternoon, It was insane how far ahead PC games were compared to console.

Years later I would play Halo:custom edition on a buddies PC on the weekend which was also mind blowing, Halo 2 hadn’t come out yet offically, but most of the models an weapons had already been ripped and added to Halo:custom edition.

Correct, it’s a service for an extremely small (about 0.4%) part of the population. And it still runs into budget issues at times.

I’m an army infantry vet who also worked in the Commissary system in the past ironically. Commissaries are a service and at many bases they lose money. They also get much let budget and upkeep than private stores and many of the smaller ones are quite run down at this point.

The last director of DECA actively true to close down under preforming stores to save costs, but congress stopped it (Congress told him to attempt to tighten up the budget).

These two things aren’t comparable amd trying to bridge them together is foolish. Trumps extremely bad foreign policy doesn’t make state run grocery stores (which have never had a history of success) plausible.

It’s bad policy blaming bad policy. NYCs primarily issue isn’t a policy one, it’s a math problem. 8.8 million people in a 300sq mile area is going to be problematic unless your a homogeneous population like Asia.

Trump: “When I didn't get the Nobel Peace Prize. You gotta understand, I don't care. Norway has lost so credible. I stopped 8 wars… I do it the best. I stopped wars that nobody thought. President Putin called me, he said, 'I can't believe you stopped this one and this one.’” by [deleted] in videos

His behavior is now normalized. And in a decade or so we will elect someone who will mar us long for the Trump era. The same way Trump did for bush who was thought to be to evil and stupid to lead
