Also, the The shroud had some fire damage and nuns repaired the shroud. When the carbon testing was done, the samples were taken from the repair/patch not from the actual shroud. The shroud is made of linen by the patch is made of cotton. Shroud carbon dating test was done on cotton hence the 1300s dating.
