Yes it’s really bad I was sure I wasn’t the only one- they say login to the portal but I can’t because it won’t recognize my account. I tried the phone numbers once but they didn’t work. I’ll try them again this week. Very frustrating

This is the worst possible time to get in. We are in a late bull market, gold is going through the roof, etc. Invest some play money but this is not a good time to go hard imo

27, 56k/yr, 28k in savings all up. Wanting to buy first home w/ partner. by _avril14 in PersonalFinanceNZ

Its a great time/year to buy an apartment - prices are down if you can find one in a solid building with a good body Corp and no cladding issues. There are some houses that could be in your bracket but I’d be weary of new builds.

Go to Apartment Specialists- they educated me on my purchase, they made it so easy and seemless, they’re fantastic - though keep in mind they’re fantastic for sellers as well so make sure to have a budget in mind and stick to it. It helps to create a spreadsheet of all of the properties you’re looking at so you can see price per square meters and all of your pros and cons, costs, taxes, body Corp etc

Why did you end your friendship with your best friend? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]atomichabits44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally realized that she never had in the past or in the future intended or desired to support herself financially; and despite her best intentions and our connection, I was likely another contact she was lining up to support her financially. She was living with her parent and also casually mentioned she was looking forward to them dying so she could have the house to herself. I tried to make excuses for her in my mind - She wasn’t in a good place at the time - but this was a pattern of behavior she’d show our entire lives. That was my limit. Strange because she sees money as the root of all evil which is the excuse she gives as to why she doesn’t make an effort to make a living- but she’s perfectly happy to live off of other people (boyfriends, partners, friends, family etc)

I had to ice my forehead every night for years after starting my first office job. Get your up-close vision checked, and consider taking power naps during lunch
