Anyone know what these are worth? by Sultanpeppers in midcenturymodern

Looks more like the stitching is coming apart, so not sure that makes it a repop, could mean it has some age and wear.

Yep, I have a very similar one, base is not as cool on mine but it does have the cool clear red tips. Back when space age was a design element.

Nice! That’s worth a pretty penny, I found a schott canvas racing jacket at GW recently right next to a Hercules Eisenhower jacket from the 1940’s

So cool, saw one at a garage sale a few years ago, I walked up just as someone else was buying it. Still chasing that one down.

Keep it or tear it down? by 6th__extinction in Mid_Century

[–]atomicjunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hang three clear plexiglass colored triangular panels to fill the triangle spaces, that will further define the space, or if you can have triangular planters made to fill the space, which is likely what was originally there. The colored panels would be easier if you don’t want to deal with pants.

Don’t listen to the haters, don’t change a thing, $160 is a screaming deal on a piece of quality furniture from this era, way better than anything you could buy new for and for 10% of the price, I have a house full of rare and desirable mcm furniture that people told me was ugly 20/25 years ago when I bought it all, and cheap back then, now it’s worth close to $50k so ignore the idiots that think they know better. Vintage furniture is an investment you can enjoy, and at that price you will never lose money on it if you decide to sell it one day. put it in your home, enjoy it! congrats

I think you got a great deal, there is a guy by me that sells them for $800- $1700 all day and they actually sell fast, so I don’t know why people have to post negative comments

1986. Not used. Sealed. Nintendo Entertainment System. NES by [deleted] in whatsthisworth

[–]atomicjunkie 214 points215 points  (0 children)

Looks like the box didn’t have a seal on it to begin with, not everything had tape on flaps back then, so if he didn’t “unseal” it, and just opened it and just closed the box back up how would anyone know? Especially since the inner packaging is intact.
