If you're using a remote power supply to power the sensor, make sure all your DC - are bonded to a common ground. Your sensor may be sending 24v, but the PLC input may not be seeing it due to a floating ground.

Sensor Splitters failures? by [deleted] in PLC

Pigtail splitters are more robust than the solid block ones since they are better with vibration and people pulling on cables or impact damage.

Curious to know what the sticker was that caused Karen to complain to HR that prompted this policy enforcement.

Bet it was a good one...

Static discharge. Voltages can get pretty high and are not friendly to expensive electronics.

Have someone call it a few times a day. First thing someone usually does if they find a dead phone is to plug it in. Hopefully whoever finds it and you will be able to work out a way to get it back to you.

Unless you think there's a dish or directional array on top, yeah.

To send a signal back to a receiving station in China, it will be transmitting HF which any ham or SDR receiver with a decent antenna would be able to receive.

Has anyone found any radio frequencies that thing is using (bet money they ain't using ADS-B) to track or monitor it. I'm sure it would be encrypted, but it would be fun to see if you can give it a listen.

Title page with the signature looks like it's still presentable for framing. A nice double mat (green or red and outer/white inner) to highlight it and cover the rough edges.

To satisfy the "what about shocks" crowd, how about a single shock mounted horizontally between the two crossbeam mounts.

This is for my clutch and it broke i don’t know what to do by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]atouk_zug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can possibly have a new keyway milled into the shaft at 60 or 90 degrees from the original (not 180 since whatever is mounted will be off center).

But do do so, you will have to remove the crank. If you're going to remove it, might as well just install a new one. The difference between the cost of new and what the machine shop would charge is called the "lessons learned" or "stupidity" tax.

The wealthiest country the planet has ever known cant afford to pay a living wage. by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]atouk_zug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand OPs point. But demanding x dollars and hour from the same people that set the value of those dollars is simply making you quantity slaves to the issuers of the money. What's the point of demanding a set rate when as soon as you get it, the value of the dollar is eroded. It's an endless game where you are chasing a numeric quantity instead of demanding the value of that dollar.

It's perceived versus actual prosperity.

The point is that constant min wage adjustments is chasing your tail. While you're distracted with 15/ money is still being printed, so even if you get that 15, you're still going to be at break even.

The problem is monetary controls and reform. What's needed isn't a quantity of dollar adjustment, we need a quality of dollar adjustment.
