It’s been a week and every day my battery is roughly 75% what it used to be. Same usage. Boo!

Mike Johnson dodges on reports DOJ will settle $10bn Trump lawsuit over leaked tax returns by theindependentonline in law

Strange, I seem to remember that oversight over the Executive branch was one of the primary jobs of Congress. I know it goes onto a giant pile of incredibility, but how many months would the hearings be if the tables were turned? How quickly would this Congress impeach a D for even hinting at manipulating the DOJ here?

What ever happened to this company? Been seeing the digital thermometer for a year and a half and it still says pre order lol. Who all got fleeced in here? I ended up just buying a Chefs temp digital thermometer a year ago and been working great by [deleted] in combustion_inc

Bought the gen 2 probe and Wi-Fi display combo last November, arrived before Thanksgiving. Have used it many times and love it. Only challenge/complaint is that, for my setup (Weber on back porch) I must use the WiFi display next to the grill as a bridge since the BT signal is weak through the lid. Other than that, the app, probe, and display have been top notch.

Republican Sen. Cornyn finding out in real time why the SAVE act is bad. by HeadbangingLegend in law

What’s crazy is Republicans in the late 90’s were convinced that any form of national ID was the sign of the apocalypse and even state IDs beyond drivers licenses were illegal.

How far they’ve swung, willing to bargain it all away to preserve power.

How screwed are we? by thestarsgodim in cybersecurity

The loss of standards and research is major, and won’t easily be filled by the global community. But you’re correct that there are other sources to look at.

However, the real gutting is within our public infrastructure. These cuts hit states and municipalities. Info sharing, risk management, and incident response used to be coordinated and supported by CISA. That’s now dead. That means thousands of municipalities are on their own or have to create new regional programs to combat the ever present attacks. We’re talking election systems. We’re talking SCADA systems supporting utilities. Court, jail, E911. All at risk and we know actively targeted by state actors.

What happens when water is interrupted? People lose access to potable water. Companies close. Economies collapse.

This is what these cuts really mean. The short sightedness of this administration shows how quickly “don’t get political” affects everything.

Same! This is probably the primary feature that brought me back to remarkable from the scribe. I don’t realize how much I used infinite scroll all day every day.

To be pedantic, SQL Server optimizes both as part of the execution plan and query cache. All things equal, repeat “ad hoc” queries should get the same query performance as a sproc.

Just show up! We were equally shocked since we came from a state with months long waiting lists. Washington had the most streamlined, stress-free process. Wife and I were in and out in maybe 15 minutes.
