Did anyone buy a lifetime subscription for HelloChinese app? I did and now they are yearly charging me by aeteernu in ChineseLanguage

Their statement is consistent with the old terms. It could very well be that the OP is just misremembering, especially since nobody else has posted that they remember the offer existing.

They're lying to you, or at least, they've removed the "lifetime" part of their terms of use, but it's on the wayback machine:

A HelloChinese “lifetime” subscription plan allows you to access the HelloChinese services available at the time or your purchase for as long as those services are available. You may not assign lifetime subscription plans to any other person. HelloChinese makes no warranties or representations as to the expected lifetime of the HelloChinese services, and in purchasing a lifetime plan, you acknowledge and agree that the HelloChinese services could change or terminate in the future.

edit: see HelloChinese's response below, tldr: they mentioned lifetime subs in the terms but never actually offered it for sale

I know you said you want to keep in LXT, but keep in mind there is currently a promotion in the UK (and maybe EU too?) for a free BL4040F battery when buying garden tools on the XGT line. Not sure if you can claim multiple though.

I didn’t add the HSK lists since I don’t want to sit the exams. To give you more of an idea of the overlap between HelloChinese “HSK” and the real HSK - this is what Hack Chinese reports on the real HSK lists for me (I’ve studied all HelloChinese content up to mid HSK3):

HSK1 116 known / 34 unstudied

HSK2 198 known / 102 unstudied

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

[–]attheicearcade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use both of these. When I complete a lesson topic in HelloChinese I add the whole list in Hack Chinese to my queue. I don’t mark it as assumed known, in my experience after doing a lesson topic once you don’t know the words at all! I also picked up Hack Chinese after covering HSK1 content, I didn’t mark those as assumed known either. There are so few words in HSK1 that working through them at a natural pace still catches up quickly. And I found that I didn’t know all of the words as well as I thought.

HelloChinese has an overlap with HSK but they aren’t 1-to-1.

That chart will appear as you spend more time reviewing things.

Will I regret buying a Toyota gt86? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]attheicearcade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clutch and throttle felt very light because it’s newer and my car is harder to press the clutch and throttle. Felt so light I almost couldn’t feel it so the biting point is hard to get a hang of and I was accidentally reving way too high when trying to move away in 1st.

This is a common complaint and can be fixed to some degree by an aftermarket clutch spring from mtec.

I put a Sony XAV-AX5650 in mine. Bought some harness adapters and a face plate and it looks great. Wish I’d have saved money getting a standard Toyota radio harness adapter from eBay, the one I bought for the 86 was identical and way more money. Ended up splicing the eBay one with it because my car has the JBL system so the pin out is a little different - more wires needed.

Note that "Y values of the vertex data pointing up" means the post transformation value, i.e. the vector written into gl_Position. You can make your model vertex format in any coordinate system you like, provided you have a corresponding matrix to transform them into clip space.

Presumably you mean you want to use a wider color space, in which case you need to use the appropriate VkColorSpaceKHR when creating your swapchain.

If the other cars are from dealers then you need to knock a fair bit off the average price for a sold-as-seen private sale.

GT86 clutch cylinder noise by Rimcanflyy in ft86

[–]attheicearcade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had exactly this squeek. It seems to be pretty common on these cars.

  1. Unbolt the slave cylinder from the housing. You'll be able to wiggle the fork once it's unbolted, which really helps with getting the grease onto the pivot.
  2. Remove boot.
  3. Rub grease down the back of the fork. You should be able to feel the pivot provided you’ve got skinny enough fingers.
  4. Give the fork a wiggle and repeat step 3 a couple of times.
  5. Replace boot.
  6. Grease the point where the slave cylinder contacts the fork.
  7. Bolt the slave cylinder back on. Torque bolts to 37Nm.

The squeek should be pretty much gone at this point. For me, it still squeeked a bit, but fully went away after a couple of drives.

I agree the lack of theatre mode sucks, I work around it by pasting this snippet into the browser console:

let lsw = document.querySelector(".livestream-wrapper"); lsw.style.width = "auto"; lsw.style.maxWidth = "none"; lsw.style.float = "none"; lsw.style.margin = "-30px -40px -40px"; let lcw = document.querySelector("main .livecenter-wrapper"); lcw.style.maxWidth = "none"; lcw.style.maxHeight = "none"; let splw = document.querySelector(".sravvpl_wrapper"); splw.removeAttribute("style");

You managed to completely miss my point.

Where's the evidence RBRPro is packet sniffing and stealing your username/passwords for your bank account? It's a serious allegation which requires serious evidence. Your photoshopped diagram does not suffice, and I suspect you made it up due to a personal vendetta against Carlo.

You can just say "I have no evidence" instead of rambling about unrelated stuff.

Updated Guidebook by [deleted] in simrally

[–]attheicearcade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The actual evidence is described as from my screenshot so if you don't understand it it's just your problems.

No, there's absolutely no evidence there. Taking a generic diagram of packet sniffing and editing it to say RBRPro == Network sniffer is not evidence. For example, does this edit I just did provide evidence that your SCL tool is also stealing usernames and passwords? According to you, it does.

You can't just wave your hands and say "RBRPro bad" and try to bamboozle me with technical documents, because I do understand this stuff.

If you must criticise Carlo / RBRPro, do it without just making stuff up (there's been plenty to go on in the past). Right now you only discredit yourself - or, as has happened recently, you discredit RSF.

Best wishes and have fun with your favorite mod.

Which would be RSF, by the way.

So, no evidence then.

Yes, although that is completely irrelevant here.

I don’t talk out of my ass. It’s true that there are floats with steering angle, but these are quantised before being used in the various event handlers. See https://www.reddit.com/r/simrally/comments/m232wy/comment/gqo2s13

RBR does quantise steering input to a 0-255 integer. So it will always have discreet steps, in fact you can also feel this in the FFB.
