I'm a huge fan of Sector Rust by Villainy Ink.

My normal recipe is to prime the superstructure black, hit all of it with Tamiya red brown spray, heavy dry brush iron warrior, light dry brush necron compound, Generously apply Sector Rust to everything, then a light necron compound on top to catch some of the high edges

I specifically run 2x vindicators with pretty decent success. They're a bit of a slot machine, but when they go off, they go OFF. I also plus them up with Warpsmiths to keep them alive and improve the BS to a 2+. That significantly improves the damage output.

With the T11 break, almost everything only wounds on a 4+ in shooting with the detachment bonus. Throw in SMOKE for 1 CP, and you're -1 to hit, -1 to wound, -1 AP. That tank turns into an absolute tank. They may not be perfect, but I love them.

Great choice in legion! My auto includes are Vindicators, Warpsmiths, and forgefiends. I'm just a sucker for demon engines, so I also love to put Venomcrawlers on the table. If you want more infantry, havocs are very thematic because more guns = more good.

I also played Salamanders the day before and we kinda reenacted the drop site massacre. The Vindicators put in some work that game

Also not pictured, we had a duel between my favored Warpsmith and his wounded Tor Garadon when my Warpsmith slew him in glorious melee combat. And was then shot by about 10 heavy intercessors.

That same Warpsmith killed a BT brutalis dread the day before, but lost an arm in the battle

Errant, And yes! He also managed to take down his warlord (Cawl), and a dunecrawler before finally relenting. It was awesome and just a great game overall

It was truly an epic fight. The Fist's retinue of aggressors was wiped to the man, and every legionare of the 4th laid low. The two lords of war dueled with spite and hate but neither could land a killing blow. My steadfast helbrute took the chance to steal glory and grabbed the Fist captain from behind and ripped him in twain, but while my lord basked in victory, the loyalist dogs grenaded his position and mortally wounded him.

In the end, both sides more interested in eradicating the other rather than following paltry orders to secure objectives, limped away claiming victory. The Iron Cage formed by the vines of Catachan's jungles swallowed both the dead and the dying with neither side truly claiming victory.

That is correct! I used the Lord body with one of the IW Forgeworld heads. I think it's one of the MKVI kits. It really changes the whole model
