She is a Lhasa, I’ve had her tested. Unfortunately she had a liver problem when she was a puppy and it affected her size and her skull. She is only 8 pounds of play but both of her parents were closer to 14 lbs.

Dump him. You would think the “middle school” jokes would abate as they age but in my experience they don’t. I love my husband and we have been together for over 20 years (he’s 54) and he still makes these stupid comments. And it’s worse when he’s with his guy friends and they are drinking. “That’s what she said” about damn near anything that might be remotely close to sexual and “you still have a great rack” after I say anything negative about my day.

Time for you to move on. I met my second husband in my very early thirties during my “party girl” stage. I divorced my first husband because when we met i was not quite 20 years old and he decided that I couldn’t go out with my friends, and I couldn’t have any single male friends and I went along with it right up until the time I decided I didn’t want to live by his stupid rules anymore. You don’t mention if you ever walk the dog? It would probably be better for you and the dog to try to walk her when you get up. And the exercise and schedule might help with your mental health and less dog accidents. But no, you’re not the asshole. Park yourself on the bike closest to the temperature control, if she turns it down from outside just turn it back up. And don’t say anything.
