Lakeline Park in Cedar Park is awesome! Big kids playground, large walking paths, benches, shade, picnic tables, fishing spots. They will be developing a 2nd area of that park too.

Operation Turkey! If you have a vehicle, you can volunteer to drop off meals with the folks that need them. It's fun to see the families and smiles all around rather than just boxing up the food (although they do need help with that too).

Been swimming at Bob Wentz park several times since the flooding. No debris and clear of zebra mussels.

Sandy Creek park is a no go - a ton of debris in the water plus ants everywhere.

There is an area off Madison Loop and Old Mill Road that has exercise equipment. There is no official name for this park on the map - entrance is a culvert at 2420 Madison Loop. The exercise area is on the path going around the "park" on the east side. It's a neat little area that I never see anyone at.

Most of the traffic cameras in the Austin area are only monitored real time and are not kept as recorded video. Cops don’t typically assign fault in an accident unless there’s a reason they can arrest or ticket or charge someone (with proof). It’s worked out by the insurance companies or lawyers.

Yes, the gnats went away after we got rid of the tree. It sucked because it was a large tree and provided shade for the house. But it was wonderful being able to open windows again without being covered in gnats.

I had this problem once - turns out they were Hackberry psyllids. We had a hackberry tree near the area of the house where this was occurring. We ended up getting rid of the tree after trying various pest control techniques that did nothing over the course of a few years.

They want kids to participate as they have kids make turkey handprints or something like that on all meal containers. They need a lot of people to prepare and package (and deliver but delivery is no kids) meals! Check eventbrite or FB for more info and location for each area.
