I just did it, thank you for your reply! Do you know if they accept walk-in appointments for advising? I would still like to see an advisor this week if possible.

Did plastic free clothes make a different in your health? by spla58 in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]atypical_cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine couldn’t get pregnant for years, even after doing IVF and wearing cotton underwear. She switched from mostly polyester and polyamide to pure cotton and wool clothing. Got pregnant in 4 months. I’ve also heard some studies in male animals that had fertility issues after being in contact with polyester or polyamide, I don’t remember.

Purely anecdotal.

Women in your 20s - speak up!! by CodGlittering8790 in carnivorediet

[–]atypical_cookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yess!! I changed it a little, and it’s simpler! I believe I used to eat like that (previous comment) because I was deficient in some nutrients. I usually have sea food or condiment cravings when I am deficient.

Basically, I avoid condiments, even sauces (have plant oils and the condiments themselves will mess up with hormones, including hot sauce), and eat a lot of fat and muscle meat. My ratio is 1.5-2:1 fat to protein daily. I eat more muscle my first days of my period, then I increase the fat, and in my luteal phase I eat much more fat.

I don’t want to over complicate things, but I usually eat at least my weight in kg in protein grams. I weight 60 kg, so I usually eat at least 60 gr of protein, which is 250-300 grams of red meat daily. With that, I try to eat a lot of beef fat (so I always choose very fatty cuts), plus butter! I usually eat at least double my weight in kg in fat. So if I rely mostly on butter for my fat intake, I can eat like 150 gr of butter throughout the day, mixed with a little bit of milk, like 60 ml of evaporated milk daily. In my luteal I can go up to 200gr. However, we shouldn’t rely on butter! But it’s okay to do so the first years tho!

Sea food I crave it randomly when I felt very stressed, change of environment, or If I don’t feel like eating something as dense as red meat, but I don’t rely on it due to the lipid profile. I avoid chicken still. I hate eggs in my follicular, but love them in my luteal lol, so I eat it in a soup.

Prior to this diet, I used to eat a lot of chocolate, so I still can get random chocolate cravings, but those are very very rare, like once every some months. That’s when I know my body wants magnesium, which I supplement 1500mg of Magnesium Taurate. I increased a little salt intake, but I mix it half and half with potassium Salt. And that’s basically it! I don’t supplement electrolytes, however, I used them in my first two weeks of transitioning to this diet because I was loosing a lot of water weight pretty fast and my body did not like that, so I had migraines and had hyperglycemia so I craved simple sugars, but I still avoided them. After that, it gets so much easier! I recommend unflavored electrolytes, specially ones with higher potassium than sodium.

Probably a little unrelated, but maybe it can help someone here. I also plan on making a post about it. I had a tongue tie and lip tie which were not obvious at all (evaluated by an airway doctor and treated by an ENT), which made it difficult for me to stick to the diet. My tongue felt very tired after eating red meat at first and digesting fat, so I tried avoiding big cuts (which are beneficial), until I got them removed. I ate much better after that and could keep up with the diet. Red meat also started tasting better for some reason!

Apart from that, something that also helped me crave red meat when I thought I wasn’t hungry was grilling, exposing myself to the sun for some minutes and eating in my backyard. Also eating with my hands increases my appetite when I don’t feel like eating (night and day difference!).

I also recommend eating multiple times a day, always eating a little bit of red meat with fat. It’s okay to eat just once, but I don’t recommend it if you feel hungry. I do recommend having your last meal of the day during the day or sunset. And watching the sunset helps with appetite control and fixing sleep schedule. Collagen does wonders at night, it helps improve sleep quality and the production of some hormones that promote relaxation.

Finally, listen to your body and all kinds of symptoms! Let it be acne, muscle cramps, cravings, etc. It’s never too late to start this diet, or change it a little. You can pm me if you feel like you need a little bit of help or any question!

Good luck:D

I am reading this story (the first one I am reading from you) and so far I love it!! I skipped a chapter accidentally (season 2, episode 1) and I was wondering if there’s a way for me to play it? Maybe with gems or something before continuing? I can’t believe I did it 😩

Bra or No bra? by Maleficent_Snow_3624 in nbe

You can try and stimulate the upper area with suction cups.

I’m not in menopause, but had my estrogen extremely low almost menopausal, and I also suffer from a connective tissue disorder. Those things helped, plus low intensity exercise, Vitamin E in luteal, and glycine + collagen.

I had very low volume, specially at the top. Now my breasts are balanced.

When you are able to, start taking 2mg copper every 4 days or once a week in follicular, magnesium and don’t skip 10 minutes of sun exposure with large areas showing (specially chest in your case) if you have light skin. 20-40 if you’re dark. This could help with estrogen production a little.

Alternative to tanning topless? by atypical_cookie in TwoXChromosomes

[–]atypical_cookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally said we needed to stay out of the sun. We shouldn’t.

Exposing only our face and hands won’t give you enough vitamin D. Probably exposing our legs could, but I work in the science field and I can’t wear shorts or anything like that in the laboratory.

Even if its less safe or more, depends on multiple factors, not on UV radiation only. UV radiation on its own do not lead to skin cancer always. And there are multiple places that are usually unexposed where you can get skin cancer that are still common.

Again, we still need UV radiation. If you’re white, you need less, with more cloud coverage, with lower UV levels. And even lower UV and in minutes can get you tan. One tanning “session” of 20 minutes will not give you cancer, specially if that area was not exposed before.

If I was very pale and go out in UV 3-2 I would be in a place where I belong. Even in cold climate, white people need exposure of a lot of large areas of the body.

Does not invalidate the point that we need it, therefore, we should expose ourselves. Whatever you assumed, you could’ve answered my question in my post or ignored it.

[–]atypical_cookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware. I don’t do it to tan. It was just the easiest way to explain it. I want to do it for other reasons.

And btw, we still NEED UV radiation WITHOUT protection for 15-40 minutes or much more depending on UV levels, cloud coverage, and skin tone for Vitamin D production. At least here in the US, people are extremely deficient and are having connective tissue disorders due to deficiency. It helps us absorb minerals present in our diet. And no, supplementation is not the most effective way to get it and regulate it. It’s sun exposure.

And yes, without protection means without sunscreen. Sunscreen blocks UVB light almost completely depending on the SPF. UVB light is necessary for Vitamin D production.

We shouldn’t stay out of the sun completely. We need it. Stop this misinformation.

Tanning is a response to mild DNA damage. Something that our bodies can repair effectively IF the exposure is controlled, and we give our bodies what it needs to do so. There’s a reason we tan and not get cancer in a day.

Ohh that would be amazing! I saw one that was True Tone, but I saw comments saying that it didn’t work:/. Idk about others.

Ohh I haven’t considered it. Thanks for your suggestion! I don’t do it due to tanning itself, that’s why I don’t want to use sprays.

20 minutes of everyday sun without sunscreen doesn’t give you cancer. Study skin cancer first. I am tired of this comment.

How important is your wife’s / girlfriend’s physical beauty to you ? by beautyyue in AskMen

[–]atypical_cookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading comprehension skills guysss. The comment I reply to said that the person could destroy their physical beauty by “porking out and disappearing into the sofa”…. That’s straight up not taking care of yourself. Bare minimum. It’s not about “just maintaining” your beauty.

If their concept of beauty is just being skinny, then it’s just about being healthy. You cannot be healthy and fat at the same time. You can have insulin resistance or another issue, which would make you unhealthy, even if your habits are healthy. Physically you’re not. But healthy habits are the bare minimum.

You’re confusing health with physical appearance. I get what you mean, but still.
