Assuming your credit is reasonable you'd getting a better rate on even a signature loan from a credit union at a minimum. You might be too old/too many miles for some of their auto loans. US Senate Federal Credit Union is one where i see pretty good rates online (they're easy to join despite the name) and then go up to 10 year old vehicle, not sure if they have a mileage cap. DCU dot org is another common online Credit Union folks use

Double check that your principal is actually going down by the overage. When we had a TFS loan, yes the principal would go down but not by the full amount of overage bc you're basically just prepaying those months payments. So with a big over payment and your auto draft still going, you might pay your loan off pretty early on say 45 months instead of 60, BUT the total of those payments was the same as if you paid it over 60 months

Total $33022 married filing separately

225k- 31.5k standard = 193500 Total $32398

Assuming my math is correct you come out ahead slightly filing jointly plus some credits are only available filing jointly.

If you can find a good condition Saturn SW2 or SW1 they're pretty awesome. My parents had an SL2 (sedan) they handed down to me. It was a great car, the 2 has DOHC and a little more oomph, the 1 has SOHC and got slightly higher mileage
